FS in NJ: 1992 325 Cabby with 78k miles

    Here's my CL ad:

NOTE: When I originally purchased the car the PO said that his mechanic told him there was a "slow leak in the head gasket" because it was dripping oil onto the pavement and would overheat in traffic but ONLY WITH the A/C ON, and that it would cost some absurd amount to fix, like $1200 (which is double the cost, even for a head gasket replacement) so obviously they were just trying to take advantage of someone who doesn't know better...

So I tightened the oil drain plug...and uh, NO leak! Then found that the auxiliary fan is not coming on. I have sat in traffic a handful of times now driving out to the shore, out to the country in PA, and I've never had the temp needle move, EXCEPT the one time I sat in traffic with the A/C on (hence how I figured to check the aux fan!)

Although it's very well worth it to most, I know the price is higher than any of us that wrench would pay, but I'm posting it on here because I know a lot of guys are looking to trade up to get into a nice low mileage e30...which I will consider doing as long as it's your trade plus cash for my car. I'd entertain, e30's, e28's, e36 m3's...Porsche 944 turbo (951)...whatever it is, your car needs to be a good daily runner PLUS cash on your end that can handle a little commuting.

I'm selling this one because I'm going to be commuting into the city a lot starting in October and don't want to rack up the miles or the damage to this great collector.

Thanks Danny, I've got a lot of interest both locally and from other states, so if it doesn't sell soon I'm going to do just as you mentioned!

UPDATE: I installed a new low mileage Bosche alternator today and it functions perfectly. Also here is a video of the car in motion:

I just installed a Bosche alternator, and took a little 200 mile drive yesterday and by the end, it was pouring rain and hot and gross, so I closed the top and the A/C is blowing ice cold, and the car ran/ drove perfectly!
