    (PA) FS: Super clean 2005 330ci ZHP 6-speed

    NEW PRICE DROP (09/30)

    $17,500

    This car is intended for an enthusiast who understands the value of preventive maintenance when buying a used BMW.

    If all you consider when shopping for a used car is make, model, mileage, then you wouldn't understand this particular car's value.

    Highlights:
    -PPI done 09/15 @ Bimmerworks (bimrs.org shop) and Steve the owner insists it needs nothing
    -VANOS seals & bearings upgraded w/ Beisan Systems Kit
    -Plugs, fuel filter, trans/diff RedLine all have <20k
    -H&R springs Koni Struts have <25k
    -Oil Changes every 3k, only drinks Shell 93, Lubro Moly Jectron/Ventil Sauber regularly

    Not all 330 ZHP's with 70,000 miles are equivalent. You get what you pay for. Just keep that in mind. Thanks, and enjoy.

    Style 72 Winter Wheels (included):

    OVERVIEW

    Located outside of Philadelphia.

    2005 330ci
    ZHP Performance Package
    6-speed manual
    71,xxx miles
    CPO until 12/21/10

    Imola Red
    Silver Cube Trim
    Alcantara Seats

    First off ... I can't stand the idea of selling this car. The drive every day on the back roads to and from work puts a sh*t-eating grin on my face. And boy does it get the looks... Constantly getting blatant stares and thumbs-up from random people. I really should sell as I bought a 2-unit house recently, and I need to save cash flow for renovations/repairs etc. Ideally going to downgrade to a reliable E28/E30 for a daily driver.

    I have been fanatical about maintenance and upkeep. The car is s.u.p.e.r. clean... I drive the car sportingly as it was meant to be driven. Never harshly, no track, no auto-x, no racing, no burnouts, no hard launches. I recently got heavy into detailing and I've now done two huge detail projects on this car. It looks stunning.

    The car has never given me even a hint of an issue. Everything in/on the car works flawlessly. I took care of the VANOS issues with the Beisan Systems rattle & seals kit (great decision), did the plugs/fuel filter/all fluids. The subframe was inspected every year and is perfectly fine, otherwise I would have had it done under the Class Action suit. DISA & oil separator work great, I've tested them.

    MAINTENANCE

    I am admittedly crazy about caring for my car. Mechanically and aesthetically, no corner has been cut, nothing has been spared.

    Mechanical:

    OEM Oil+filter changes at 3k intervals maximum.
    OEM engine & cabin air filter change every 12 months.
    Coolant & brake fluid flush alternating every 12 months.
    Lubro Moly Jectron & Ventil Sauber treatments alternating monthly.
    ONLY Shell 93 octane was used (I live very close to the station).
    The urethane sway bushings were greased every oil change, they are in great shape.

    * 4-wheel Alignment @ 69k w/ new tires/wheels
    * Expansion Tank replaced @ 69k (small leak)
    * Beisan VANOS seals kit (big improvement) @ 68k
    * Beisan Rattle repair kit (no rattle whatsoever) @ 68k
    * Valve Cover Gasket @ 68k
    * OEM NGK spark plugs @ 55k
    * Valve Cover Gasket @ 55k
    * Fuel filter @ 55k
    * Trans Redline MTL @ 55k
    * Diff Redline 75w-90 @ 55k
    * PS Fluid Amsoil ATF @ 55k
    * Serp belt @ 55k
    * Entire new DME Computer @ 52k under CPO per BMW engineers in Germany (stealer techs couldnt figure out SES light ... ended up being just a cabin temp sensor unplugged)
    * Thermostat @ 52k under CPO
    * New radiator outlet hose & temp sensor @ 52k under CPO (small leak)

    Aesthetics: As mentioned, I recently got into (and borderline obsessed with) detailing, and I've done two intense detail projects on this car in the past 4 months.

    April project included a full clay bar, single-stage polish w/ Menzerna 106FA Nanopolish, then protect w/ two coats of Menzerna FMJ sealant.

    Now, over the last weekend in August, I spent at least a total of 24 hours on it including: (1) deep clean & polish+seal wheels & exhaust tips, (2) clean & then detail the engine bay and interior w/ 303 Aerospace Protectant, (3) wash & clay bar the entire body, (4) compound w/ Menzerna SIP & LC Orange pad, (5) polish with Menzerna 106FA & LC White pad (6) one coat of Natty's Blue Paste Wax. Obviously you can see the result in the pictures. Near-perfect mirror finish on all panels (and trim).

    I have many more pics you can see if you're seriously interested.

    "MODS"

    M3 mirrors
    CSL splitters, painted Imola
    Blacked out kidneys w/ Imola surrounds
    H&R Street Performance coil-overs (sporty, extremely responsive, not even remotely harsh)
    Hotchkis adjustable sway bars (turn-in is astounding)
    UUC Pulleys
    CDV Delete
    Supersprint X-pipe -> ZHP muffler (more growl than stock, sounds perfect; I don't think anyone would find it loud at all)
    18" Style 264's (from 135i) staggered; practically brand new, no chips/rash + Hankook V12 Ventus w/ about 3,000 miles on them
    Spacers 15mm (f) // 18mm (r) with extended bolts
    Tint
    DICE i-Pod hookup

    EXTRAS (CAN BE INCLUDED?)

    * OEM mirrors w/ all hardware ($$$?)
    * OEM pulleys
    * 4x Style 72's w/ Michelin Pilot Sport A/S probably 50% tread remaining w/ TIRE TOTES ($800 easily)
    Never had one problem in the snow. This set would be included in the sale if the price is right

    * OEM Sunshade
    * Brand new Bentley E46 manual ($80)

    CONSIDERATIONS

    * Mild bolster wear on the Alcantara seats, nothing abnormal at all
    * Road rash on the nose & front bumper, some scrape on the splitters. This will happen with a lowered daily driver...
    * Painters tape pulled off some clear coat from around the grill... (wanted to kill myself when it happened)
    * I do not have the original Style 135 ZHP wheels, but everyone and their grandmom has them. Easy to find if you want them so badly. Find me another Imola coupe w/ Style 264's though

    ASKING PRICE:

    $17,500 OBO w/ OEM pulleys, mirrors & sunshade

    $18,200 OBO w/ Winter wheels+tires, OEM pulleys, mirrors & sunshade

    Again, if all you look at is year, model and miles, you're not an educated buyer.

    70,000 miles on an overly-maintained car does not equal 70,000 miles on a minimally-maintained car (only gets what it needs, when it breaks)

    I have put together a lengthy for sale ad explaining this price. If you haven't read the entire post, don't bother commenting. I am really in no immediate hurry to sell.

    Bought the car with 49,500 on it, and it is in MUCH better condition than when I bought it. There has been tons of preventive maintenance and detailing work done during my ownership.

    I can see it already: "lol I can buy an M3 for that price..."

    I fully realize this. However I ask you to consider exactly what you're really getting for a $21,000 E46 M3. You may be able to buy it for that, but how long before you drop thousands in repairs/upkeep?

    I am fully aware of "market" prices for ZHP's as of late. This car is worth more due to it's mechanical and aesthetic condition and the extras included.

        Nice car but not a fan of the wheels, I really like the factory wheels the ZHPs came with. Car is priced very nice for a ZHP as most in my area are still in the mid 20's best of luck with sale.

            Fully inspected yesterday by Bimmerworks in West Chester and Steve insists the car needs nothing. I told him I wanted to replace the FCAB's and he disagreed, says there's no reason to do it now...
