Going to be selling my 91 Alpineweiss 325i $2500 obo

Very decent shape but will need some work done to it to make it "perfect".

Best thing (in my opinion) is it has not been raped by aftermarket mods and is in basically all-stock condition. I have had it for the last ~40,000 miles (has 186k on recently-dead odo, died this summer) and it has never let me down. Probably 85% of those 40,000 miles were freeway miles going back and forth to southern Illinois from Indianapolis/Terre Haute areas for the past two years. My wife is in a brain injury rehab center (vicious t-bone wreck in '04) there and I go to visit her as often as we can afford which is basically every other weekend. Each trip is roughly 500 miles both ways so you can see how it adds up. I have taken it very easy on the car but occasionally wind it out/piss it off just because its there to be pissed off... It has been my only car all this time and thus ive taken it very easy generally since I dont want to break it.

This is a four-door car, by the way.

    The good:

Very clean body, no wrecks, no wrinkles, no dents to speak of.

Strong motor. Will need a timing belt in 10,000 miles.

Interior is black leather comfort seats. They are in very good condition aside from a split in the driver's seat bottom. The split is about 2.5-3" long.

HAS A FACTORY LIMITED SLIP optioned in when the car was purchased new.

Other factory-installed options were a fold-down center arm rest, and map-light rear view mirror, cruise control, glass moonroof (very rare but not on the car currenty..see below).

Windows are tinted to 30% (legal limit in most states).

140 amp alternator from an e32, so ready for Big Audio if you want.

    The Bad:

    Needs an exhaust system.

The odo died this summer. Very common problem as the plastic gears fail inside the odo. Replacement gears are about $80 and the fix is fairly simple.

Leaks some oil = its a 20 year old bim.

There is a vibration at certain road speeds which I am fairly certain is a bent wheel.

The fuel level gauge does not work either. Was not a big deal until the odometer died too, but the reserve light still works.

The air conditioner blows ice cold at freeway speeds, but warms up once you slow to a crawl or stop. I believe the aux fan resistor is dead and that fan is not running which causes the above issue.

    The Indifferent:

The sunroof is a black metal panel, which replaced the original GLASS (very rare factory option) moonroof. The original glass panel, according to the previous owner, flew out of the car on the freeway and because he did not know how to fix it, just put in the black panel. It works (electric) but needs to be adjusted also.

Currently wearing bottlecaps and snow tires with about 30% tread left. They would probably go another 20k miles in the dry or rain, but for snow usage this winter new snows would definitely be needed. With the limited slip it is a great snow car. Just PLEASE take it to a car wash regularly to get the salt off!

I just put a brand new MOMO Mod 88 Alcantara steering wheel in it about a month ago. This will NOT be included with the car as I intend to find a stock wheel for it and sell it that way. If you have your own momo for it, I can include the hub and spacer I am using; I only want to keep the wheel itself. The hub is actually the stock airbag wheel hub redrilled in the momo pattern and it wears a $50 aluminum spacer that puts the momo wheel out away from the airbag-style turn signal and wiper stalks.

No stereo head unit but the stock premium speakers are there. Car is wired to bypass stock amp.

Needs an exhaust system. Rust got the stock muffler last spring.

I intend to ask $2500 since the body is so nice and the basic mechanicals are strong. I would listen to offers however. Car is in Terre Haute, IN 47802.

I will post pictures later once it is officially for sale (I dont have the replacement car yet), but this should be ready to go within the next few weeks. It basically looks like an all-stock 91 alpineweiss car (see sig pic too). Paint is in good condition for 20 years old.

Sorry I've been super busy.... I will try to finally get it detailed this weekend and post some pics. It really is a very nice, well-kept car. ZERO structural rust, and near-zero rust overall.
