    FS: I Killed My E30 - My loss, your gain

    Hello,

    So I cracked the oil pan on my 1985 325e. I am pretty sure the engine didn't seize up, but there is no real way to tell without doing the repair job. I don't want to do this.

    The car was in great running order right before I busted it.
    Here is a brief list of things I've done recently:
    - replaced the control arms and tie rods
    - replaced the alternator
    - replaced the water pump
    - replaced the timing belt
    - replaced the dash (woohoo for a crack free one!)
    - replaced the whole exhaust system (with the i version)
    - replaced all the seats (see pictures)
    - upgraded the sound system (nothing to big, but better than old stock)
    - replaced all the fluids
    - replaced the speedometer/tach thing.

    I am sure I have done more on her, but i just can't remember.
    Either way she was running well right before the crack.
    I am looking to sell her as is - not running - for $500 FIRM. You could easily part her out and get more than that back, or revive her and sell her for double. Either way I am just kinda done with it.

    See the pictures, If there is anything you'd like to see let me know, I can take a few more pictures or we can setup a time to actually see the car.

    The buyer has to deal with towing, etc.

    Where in San Jose are you? Not sure if I have the time for it though I already have a major project in my driveway, maybe I'll come check it out.

          That cupholder is a special magical mod i did with my dremel. Nothing too special

          I cracked the pan by bottoming out on a hill in SF. I cut the engine and coasted down the hill until I could park it and tow it home.

                jeez that sucks. I'm a little scared to drive downtown sf but it's part of my commute to work. Now im debating on whether to get a skid plate on my stock suspension. what condition was your suspension in?

                  It was in fine condition. I have driven SF a ton and no problem. I just zoned out once, went to fast down the hill and BAM. game over.

                  It isn't that bad to fix, I am just too busy and care to little to do so.

                            How many miles are on the control arms? What brand are they? If you can remove them without damaging the ball joint boots I'd be interested in them. Pm me a price shipped to socal 92346. - David
