    FS: 1988 325is, SoCal, $1600

    SOLD

I came across an opportunity to buy back the first car I ever owned, so I need to downsize my fleet a bit to make room.

    The Basics:
    1988 325is
    5-speed
211,xxx miles indicated (ODO broke about 1k ago, so its really like 212k)
Dark Green (sort of), originally Alpineweiss)
    Grey Houndstooth cloth interior

    The Good:
    -Bilstein sport shocks/struts
    -H&R Sport springs
    -Magnecor plug wires
-Just passed smog last week by a decent margin on all fronts
    -Engine runs extremely well
-Includes both sets of wheels/tires and the spacers for the iX weaves
    • Bottlecaps w/ almost gone rubber
    • 15" iX weaves wearing Falken RT-615 rubber, about 4/32 left

    The Bad:
-ODO busted (I've put roughly 1k on it since then)
-a couple small dents, plus one decent one right behind the passenger door
-In desperate need of a decent coat of paint

Asking $1450. Send me a PM or email if you're interested

Does the clear need to be completely stripped in order for the car to be re-painted? I was told this once but not sure. GLWS

It does if you want it done correctly. BUt in the past for cheap/ quick jobs, we've also blended in the transition's where bad meets good, and keyed up the good real well then painted a bond coat, then continue.

Yeah, I'd recommend doing so. A poorly done respray is what put the car in its current position. I'd have much rather had the faded original paint, but oh well. Its really a shame, since mechanically the car is fine.

Lost Soul, that first picture was taken just west of the 5 on CA-58. Driving that road between the 5 and the 101 is quite possibly the most fun I've ever had on public roads. I highly recommend it for those in CA. Plus, it makes for a good detour on the way in between LA and the Bary Area.

Bump for price drop. Any takers at $1450? Pick it up by this Sunday (10/3) and I'll even throw in my spares collection!
