I'm confused as to how this is CARB legal if it was converted to OBDI. Was that done after it was tagged? As far as I know the motor has to be as is from the donor car.

i honestly have no idea. The PO did it and i have the paperwork from the bar ref. Maybe it was converted after, but i smogged the car after i bought it and it passed no problem.

              S50 from a 95 M3? That would explain the OBD1.

In order to Pass the BAR certification on an s52, you get it done as an s50. The original owner most likely swapped the valve cover to the s50 cover, and was therfore able to get it CARB'd.

Great price on this set-up! Someone should jump on this, looks like a very well sorted swap! :-D

What city are you in in Socal?

I would be interested in seeing the car for a possible purchase. I am somewhat hesitant about the condition of the body and paint and would like to see it in person.

The next time im home will be the 23-25 for thanksgiving. Let me know if you wanna come take a look. Also, the car isnt currently being driven if that makes any difference to you.
