    PNW prolly rusted out.

no driver kick/under dash panel so probably has some electrical gremlins.
Still a good find my favorite color!

actually, stuff doesn't rust here too badly. we don't salt the roads here in any of the western states. by comparison, i lived in new england for a couple of decades before i moved out here. there, a car like this, at a price like that, would almost definitely have cancerous rust and a end of live within clear sight. so if this one was a pnw car from the beginning, it might be alright.

Looks like a Hawaii plate... Something is going on with that car, whether it be rust or something else. The new owner should either not care how they look in the car, or be prepared to spend a lot more money on body work, etc... IMO, its always better to pay for a well sorted out car, than to get one on the cheap and "fix up." Unless you are looking for a project, in which case the latter would be preferred.

hawaii. good catch 912greg32i. that soil is so full of iron and other crazy red shit, stuff rusts there faster than on new england's salty roads. a buddy of mine bought an old toyota pickup from hawaii thinking he got a good deal, only to find it was barely holding together.

here is the email i got

                    Hi All,
I just got back from a business trip and a little over whelmed on all the interest on my M3. I tried to reply to a few on my blackberry but thought this is the best way to address any questions on the car and details since i had over 50 inquires on the car. I have not had a chance to take any additional pictures but I can do that this evening when I get home from work.

So to start off answering most of your questions. VIN: WBSAK030XJ29963
The title of this car does have a rebuild. I bought this car from a relative and brought it back to Seattle from Maui in hopes to make it my E46 M3 transplant project but the body was worse than I had remembered when I went to visit him a few years back.

I'll start off with the bad first:
Rust: the worst spots are the edges of the front lower front windshield. The rust has gone through and is not surface rust. The edges of the Sunroof has quiet a bit as well but you could just replace the whole sunroof for relatively cheap as any e30 sunroof should fit. Aside from those areas; there are small surface rust in some areas but nothing extensive like the areas addressed.
Dent: The front right has a dent that could be fixed rather than replacing the fender

The car does run; shifts well and clutch engages like it should; I picked it up and drove it home from the the port of Seattle to Renton. The car does shake at over 60mph. I do believe that this is because I know the car sat for at least 2years without being driven. I was started regularly so I would guess that the tires are warped from sittinng
The initial items that I noticed from driving it that does not work: The fuel mpg guage under the rpm does not work. The temp gauge does not work. All other gauges work.

Miles; from my understanding; this is original miles but I am not 100 certain. I know that my cousin didn't drive this car much at all during the 5years he's had it.

Those are the issues/details of the car from what I know. As for the good; I had already posted that so you have the list of upgrades and accessories.

Terms of the sale. If you are still serious in buying the car; you can call . My name is Andrew. Please note that I will not hold the car for anyone-sorry.

I am not looking for any trades unless you have an E34 M5 or a 2002ti (in good condition) otherwise bring cash.

sounds like a honest enough dude. bet he's going to get a lot of tirekickers, and some headaches along the way, but he'll probably get what he wants for it. hope someone gives it a good home. little more than i want to deal with.
