One owner Henna for Sale $2500

Original 1984 5 speed henna spending all its life in Southern California.

This is a 1 owner car. First owner had it 26 years. It took a while for me to convince him to sell it but after almost a month of talking back and a forth we agreed on a price. So here are the pros and cons about the car. I'm going to drop it off to the mechanics for a full inspection but all in all, henna fans will not be disappointed.

    Pros.
*One owner car! Car is extremely original down to the roundals! The tools kit is all there. Manuals. Original key, original valet key. Original dealer window sticker. Factory cassette cleaner, original shift knob etc.
*No rust. This one is clean.
    *Shifter is extremely smooth.
*Car features the original factory sports interior (seats, 3 spoke steering wheel). Four wheel disk brakes.
    *Henna paint (also original).
*Took the car for a 3 hours drive (170 miles to San Diego), no overheating, just straight eta driving.
*Black interior, updated aftermarket CD radio, power sunroof, power steering, power windows, power door lock, OBC, heater works great.
    *Car is extremely straight!!!

    Cons:
    *Seats need attention
*Cluster should be replaced (RPM gauage not working)
    *Approx. 250k on original engine.
    *crack dash
    *Passenger fender is scraped.
    *Oil leak.

Hands down its just a great platform and that's what I'm really promoting in this car. It's just a great car to build upon. Clean title.

I dont know where the price range on an original henna, one owner, rust free, californian car is. I have seen rusted examples from $600 to better specimens for about $5k. Since forum rules dictate a price, lets start with $1900 but keep in mind I am open to all and any offers! It's truly a $2500 exceptional car with a great history. I only I brought this car with the intentions to sell it and pay down a few bills. If you are looking for a henna that is restore worthy please contact me. These cars are become increasingly hard to find in this condition. I will keep you guys posted.

    Thank you.

This is a "best offer" thread folks. I posted a price just to promote the true value of the car. I am open to all offers since I brought the car to sell it.

Just an FYI-if this car has peeling clear coat, then it has been repainted at some point. Original hennarot paint is single stage, not clear coated.

Still, sounds like a good car-good luck with the sale.

That's great information, thank you. Then the car isn't peeling and never has peeled.

About 15 years ago, the owner had a slight fender bender. Isn't it great to get this straight from the original owner's mouth that would have otherwise have been loss from changing hands over the years. It was repaired and drove fine since (well over a decade ago).

This explains why there is evidence of clearcoat only on a certain small portion of the car (about 2 square feet). I dont believe the fender bender appears in the car fax btw. The car is very straight and paint is truly original (less 2 - 3 sq.ft).

                Update.

I registered the car in my name since the tags were about to expire. "One owner" title is now a misnomer.

Car passed smog and the tags are now paid through next year.

Car is still available if you are see this posting.

                    Why are you selling it?
Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

As the ad stated, I got it at a great price price (seller didn't really know what he had) and brought it with the intentions to sell it and make some money to pay down some bills. I just sold my Mtech1 kit because I really need to get a grip on finances. It went to a great owner and I am hoping to do the same with this. Cool car, how can you really go wrong with an original owner henna? The implication is that he took care of the car in some capacity to still have it running after 26 years.

Edit: I am hold off selling the car until I get the pink slip in the mail which should be mid-december. I will be installing a few things (leather shift knob, boot, cluster, factory stereo from a 5 series with factory 6 CD changer) and sprucing up the car in general. A great photoshoot will follow and car will likely go on ebay. Stay tune. No more emails regarding the car. The car has yet to be shown to anyone.

Work has been demanding and honestly the only time to work on the comestics are during the weekend.
