WTB: E30 in Cincinnati/Mason, OH Area

Hi guys,

I'm looking to purchase an E30 in the Cincinnati area, not too far outside of there. I scour Craiglist but E30s are few and far between, so I thought I would put a thread on here.

I'm looking for a 325, i or is. Coupes and sedans will both be considered. Looking in a range under $3k, I want something running or something that won't take too much to run.

I'm in middletown. I've been looking for a few months with not much luck. I've found a few that are 300+ miles away but never worth the drive due to price or condition. Of course, I'm limiting myself to a '91 318i or iS....so you may find more options. Good luck!

I'd love to find a car even remotely locally, but I've come to the realization I'm better off looking in places like Los Angeles, Atlanta, the Carolinas, etc. Distance obviously makes this a bit more difficult, but selection and condition appear to be a whole lot better.

If you have some $$$ to spend, there is a red '91 318iS on the Detroit craigslist for around $5k with 82k miles on it. Looks to be in excellent shape. I just don't have that much to burn on a daily driver / project.

Go out to searchtempest.com and look within a 500 mile radius. There are probably more E30s out there rather than E30 318i's...

Check the Akron Canton craigs there is a nice 91 318is for $2200

Im in Ann Arbor MI guys and have been looking as well, I have decided that my best bang for buck will be to go south where rust hasn't been so cruel and overall condition/price is better.
