    FOR SALE: 1993 E30 M50 5-Speed Convertible

    Hey guys,

The time has come to let my E30 go.

    About the car:
The car was manufactured in November of 1992. I am the third owner of this E30. The original owner had the car from 0-100K miles. The next owner knew the original owner very well, and that the car was treated like a baby (garage kept, washed/waxed, regular oil changes, timing belt). The second owner used the car as a weekend cruiser and only put 10K on it. I bought the car at 110K and the chassis is currently at about 153K. I've taken good care of it with regular synthetic oil changes. I've washed the whole car (including undercarriage) every time it snows. The car rides great and is an absolute thrill to drive. It is very reliable. I've taken road trips to North Carolina, Philadelphia, and West Virginia from Baltimore with no issues. I have all maintenance receipts, including the three-page invoice from Sarli...

    Under the hood:
The M50 was put in professionally at Sarli Motorsports in Millersville, MD when the chassis was around 135K. Ben does great work, and his other clients will support that claim. The M50 motor had 90K when it was installed and compression tested great across the board. The motor has pulled strong since its installation. The exhaust system was completely redone from the headers to the tip. I spent the extra coin to keep the A/C installed. The steering rack was replaced with an E36 rack. MAF was recently replaced. Air filter was upgraded to a K&N. Cooling is provided by a Be Cool slim fan on an adjustable trigger switch. Under the hood is easily 9/10.

    Exterior:
The exterior is in surprisingly good condition for being the original paint. A couple of door dings here and there, but overall it's a beautiful coat. Laguna green a rare color, as well. A proper coat of wax would make it shine like new. There is no substantial rust on this car. The exterior is 8/10.

    Interior:
The interior of the car is in decent condition. No cracks in the dash or control panel. The seats have some splitting in a few places on the seam. The rear seats are about the same condition with the standard split across the top from being dried out by the sun. The biggest issue with the interior, however, is that it just needs to be cleaned. The car has heated seats, which work perfectly. Overall, interior is at 6/10.

    Convertible top:
The top is currently in a hybrid electric/manual state (pretty standard for E30IC). The switch is used to activate the top storage cover, then the top is folded or unfolded manually. However, I have (and will include) most of the parts required to restore the full automatic operation. The top itself (fabric and straps) was replaced at some point by the second owner. Top condition is 9/10.

    Other goodies:
    - Clarion CZ200 receiver
    - Polk Audio amp (90WRMSx2)
    - Polk component speakers up front
    - Kenwood rear speakers
    - New control arm assemblies
    - Bentley manual included

Oh, one other thing. The driver's side washer fluid nozzle doesn't squirt out fluid. I think the hose to the nozzle may have been disconnected when the hood was removed for the swap. It's an easy fix, just haven't gotten to it yet.

I'm asking $8500 for the car. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to setup a time to test drive the car at jfmunson@gmail.com.

    Thanks for looking!

    Cheers,
    Joe
