    1991 318is AND 1989 325is + parts + mods $4500 for both! MD

    318 IS SOLD!

I already have a thread for the 91, but I really need these gone as of yesterday. Help me out!

1991 E30 318is. Very clean car, I went to Columbus, OH and bought it, so it stayed out of salt mostly. I bought it from a college student who couldn't really afford to drive it. It was completely stock. The interior is pretty clean, except for the cracks in the dash. Engine bay is super clean.

Car runs great, shifts smooth, and feels wonderful for a 20 year old car. The plastic bumpers are in great shape, minus fading paint on the rear.

Since I've had it, I've put on a new water pump, new plugs, changed the oil + oil filter, brand new exhaust from the collector back, new driver's side rear wheel bearing, and put all new brake pads on it. It needed a section of brake line, so the brake fluid is new with a fresh bleed on the brakes and clutch.

    Upgrades, since I've had it:
    Ireland Engineering stage 3 springs
    K&N panel filter
    Dinan chip
    Ford Mustang injectors
    Front lip poiler
M-Tech steering wheel. I have the stock airbag wheel, if you want to get punched in the face by 20 year old airbag technology in the case of an accident.
    XXR Sportmaxx 002, 16x8.5, 0ET. Rolled fenders, obviously. 4x100
    Yokohama S-drive, 195/40R16
New exhaust from the collector back. It still has the stock cat in there, but has a nice stainless muffler.
I also have some Ground Control coilovers, which are nice because they have front camber adjustment. I have the threaded part for the rear, but no rear springs. I'll throw them in.
Drilled rotors, not installed, but they're slightly used and would be a nice upgrade.
It also has a Pioneer head unit and some deck speakers in the rear. Can't remember what they were.

The car needs a few things:
Paint, as you can see from the photo. The roof was peeling like crazy, and the back half of the car isn't great. I was going to temporarily paint the car matte red until next summer, but got into another project. So now the roof is red. There is also a spot on the passenger rear wheel that I filled with body filler where there was a fuel leak, currently primered.
Passenger side door trim needs replaced with shadowline trim, which I do have, along with new mounting clips (door that was on the car had a huge dent, PO said a cyclist ran into him). This means the passenger side window trim also needs painted.
ONLY rust on this car is on the rear valance, under the tow hook. The fuel leak caused it to corrode faster.
Sunroof crank (can be found at junkyards for super cheap)
Driver's side e-brake needs hooked up
Speedometer doesn't work. The gear in the back of the gauge cluster is broken. Common problem in these cars. I tried a cluster from another E30 I owned, but I wasn't sure if the speedo in it worked either. So, I'll give you the stock cluster, a cluster from a 87 325is, and a cluster I got from a junkyard from a 318is. You should be able to make one work.

Other than needing some work, this is a very clean, straight car. I will work on the price if you don't want the wheels.. The first picture is before I started painting it.

The 89 is my DD right now.

Long story short, the PO wrecked the car and had a new rad support put in. When they towed it, they used a dolly and towed it from the front wheels. It blew up the auto tranny, insurance company said it was totalled. One of my friends, a local BMW tech, put in the 5 speed. The guy drove it a few more years, then a rocker arm broke, and sold it to another guy. This guy had it for ~6 months, bought a 80,000 mile motor from a local junkyard, did the swap, then sold it to me. I planned on it being a track car. I had it at the track a couple of times, and ended up putting it into a wall at ~20mph. It wasn't terrible, but I had a body shop pull the rad support and a few other things back straight. The front end still needs some lining up, I ran out of time this summer to really do anything with it.

    That being said, it has:
    CAI
    Dinan chip
    Mustang injectors
new 2.5" exhaust from collector to a stock gutted muffler, pulled from the same 80,000 mile car as the motor
    ported intake mani
    D2 coilovers
    E36 steering rack
Duraflex M Tech front bumper + valance, not installed 'cause it's winter.

Probably a few other things I'm forgetting.

Here's some pics of it from last week, sorry it's so dirty in some of them:

Here's a pic with the new bumper and valance:

Both cars need a few things here and there, but either would make a good daily driver, and neither are in terrible shape. Drive both home!

I'd like to keep the bike / snowboard rack. I need it for my job.

Forgot to mention - I also have a 87 325is parts car. It was wrecked, and the interior is gone, but there's still a good motor, trans, diffs, subframes, glass, etc. Your responsibility to haul this away.

At this point probably not. Thanks though, that thing will make someone a really good looking, fun vehicle.

That is one hell of a steal. Both cars look like excellent starters for anyone wanting to join the E30 community or a good resto/mod for the enthusiast.

I am really interested in that 318is. If these are still here in a few weeks your gonna have to let me snatch it from you.

                Bump for an awesome steal.
