If it comes to it, bribe someone at the DMV to get you a list of all the owners in your state of 325is cars from year "X" to year "Y" and just start calling! :P

+1 to this. I waited for the right iX for more than 5 years! I finally found it right at the start of the new year this year. I got a great deal on the perfect e30 for me. It's like getting married... Definitely take your time and find the right one. Otherwise you'll end up drowning yourself in your own regret until you're divorced and your children hate you. ;)

I'll chime in here too. I've been looking for the same era 325 as you for nearly a year and am still without one. I even have a bit more to spend than $5K.

An E36 M3 is looking better and better every day. :(

If you're really hellbent on an E30 325 be prepared to wait it out.

finding the right e30 is difficult.

even with 5k, it took so long to find the ix i wanted i gave up.

and then a month after i gave up (and subsequently spent the money) i found 2.

Yeah, I realize a really nice one can be hard to come by. I have been watching this forum for over a year and only seen a few like I am hoping for, but seeing as I've got e30 fever I will have to wait til I find the right car. A beautiful e30 is honestly number one in my dream garage.
