    1992 Mtech II Convertible 5 speed 102k

1992 Mtechnic II Appearance Package 9/91 Prod.
    Factory 5 speed

    History:

"Appearance" package cars mentioned towards the end of this article-

    http://stage.bmwcca.org/forum/files/Technic.pdf

I don't exactly want to sell but am moving soon. I have invested a lot of money and time since purchase in November. I have a clean CarFax from before buying the car to confirm the low mileage which was 99,000 miles. The car now has a little over 102,000 miles and has been garaged since purchase. I can't speak to it's habitat before I purchased. Clean CT title.

The following work has been done since November:

    Suspension:
2 New Meyle front lower control arms
2 New Lemforder OE M3 offset control arm bushings
2 New Hamburg Technic front sway bar links
    New D2 Coil overs/shocks/camber plates
Labor to modify factory strut tubes & remove perches
Coils are adjustable 36 points of dampening, adjustable +/- camber
Steering rack leaks so P/S belt is currently removed

    Exhaust:
New exhaust manifold to downpipe gaskets
High temp coated factory exhaust manifolds and new copper nuts
New Victor Reinz exhaust heat shields (manifold to cylinder head)
New Bavarian Autosport exhaust install kit w/gaskets/hardware for Cat
    New Scorpion Stainless cat-back exhaust
    New OE rubber muffler hangers

    Engine:
Passed CT Emissions perfectly @ 99k
    New Continental timing belt @102k
    New Continental alt/waterpump belt
New updated SKF timing tensioner, new spring, new pin
New Graf German waterpump & gasket
    New OE seals
    New S54 M oil cap
    New Thermostat and Oring
    Coated wrinkle black valve cover
New Victor Reinz valve cover gasket and rocker plugs
Timing covers and front of engine cleaned
    New OE German intake boot
Oil change at 99k with Castrol and fancy K&N filter
    New OE coolant level sensor
Coolant flushed and filled with Prestone during timing belt install
New Battery in 2008 (Battery has 2008 sticker on it)
Previous owner said he had oil pan gasket replaced
    New FPR vacuum line
    6 NGK-R Copper Spark Plugs

    Drivetrain:
RARE Factory!!! 5 speed (10% of estimated 1000 cars were 5 speed)
RARE Factory!!! 3.73 LSD (Perfect shape no noises)
I have two liters of Mobil 1 diff fluid to change shortly
90% of Mtechnic Appearance convertibles are automatic with open diff

    Interior:
Raggy and torn Lotus white leather seats
Front seats are heated, and they both work and get really hot
    Grey carpet in good condition
    Door panels in great shape
Leather hand brake and brake boot
    100% Perfect crack free dash
Factory radio needs to be wired up
Factory 13 button OBC 100% functional
    Factory Cruise control 100% functional
    Factory premium sound
Rear windows do not work, fronts work
Front regulators do rattle, it is annoying
Excellent condition factory leather wrapped airbag wheel
Fuel gauge not working, haven't troubleshooted this yet
    No warning lights on

    Top:
Over $700 in parts invested to properly install a new top
100% New German cloth OE spec top is beautiful.
New OE front seal, seal retainer, hardware from BMW

    Brakes:
2 New Front UUC slotted/coated performance rotors
Pair of Turner's PBR Ultimate Ceramic front pads
2 New Rear UUC slotted/coated performance rotors
Pair of Turner's PBR Ultimate Ceramic rear pads
New OE front/rear brake wear sensors
FULLY flushed and bled entire brake system with Super Blue Race fluid
Hand brake is tight and holds nicely
This brake setup stops on a dime (wish I had a better metaphor)
    ABS fully functioning

    Body:
All original MTech II body panels and parts (no fiberglass replacements!)
Rear valence behind tech II panel has rust
Front metal valence behind tech II valence is tweaked
Like most, power top motor does not work and should be rebuilt
    New Front/Rear roundels from BMW
Passenger fender is a DOTR replacement
Hood and driver fender have dents
Will need paint work to be a 10k+ car
Upgraded to US ellipsoids (Factory was sealed beams)
    New Antenna Grommet

    Wheels:
    4 New Falken Ziex 912 tires installed 12/24/10 ($375 w/mount balance)
5 Factory White BBS 14'' weaves with polished lips (one spare)
    All factory tools/jacks in trunk
4 New BMW stickers for BBS center caps (OE from BMW)

This is somewhat a feeler as I will be moving in a few months so there is no immediate rush for me not to have a car. I am posting in advance of the move so seriously interested parties have time to make arrangements.

    $6750

Please Inquire via PM and I will provide my number

Thanks Vlad! My dad wants the car, so maybe I'll just give it to him, after jacking up the coils and dialing back the dampers of course :p
