88 Vert Project $1700 lots of parts

Car is a project. Long story short,this was MY project. Then my DD 86 eta was destroyed by a drunk driver parked outside my house. IT was thrust into DD status half finished and now its been replaced.

88vert 5 speed w/abs

BAD:

Has thru rust:

under rear passenger footwell, where body plug was
Driver rear fender arch
Passenger corner under taillight
passenger side rear plate light
Some other very small spots

I have all of the patch panels and body panels to repair this rust thru, Body work was done over a year ago but never painted. Dove it like this until about a month ago.

Last headgasket was about 8k ago, was an amatuer job so its weeping.

Exhaust hangar broken

Trans leaks from selector shaft bushing

new CSB whines

battery is toast from sitting (I have a replacement)

one set with 95% tread hankook ipike snows
Dash has a hairline (unnoticeable) 10mm long crack from my fiance's foot
Magnaflow SS manifiold back to midpipe cat and downtubes (passes NJ emissions)
15k old rebuild alt

Prob stuff im missing. Getting out of the e30 game for now. I have a new land rover that is taking up all my time.

Car itself isnt worth much but the interior and top alsone are worth the asking price. Car runs,drives and stops. One month ago was driving it 60 miles a day round trip to work with no issues.

Great pulling M20 and stock 5 speed setup. Really could be used as is with cheap paint and an exhaust.


Currently insured and plated,test drives are possible with some advance notice so i can charge up the battery.

Was a bit frosty this morning, the back window on the vert is clear and scratch free, the top has no marks or wear.

The top flap struts were replaced and work

The elastic bands and the cables inthe top were also replaced

Car also gets a solid 25 MPG highway using mid grade or regular

Gets 26 mpg highway on premium, since the tune on the chip is designed for this...also the ass dyno is pretty awesome

The car also has Bosch design 4 19lb rebuilt injectors, yellow plastic body

More on the rust


Below the passenger rear tailight you can see a strip of rust poking through the bondo. Here is the only pace that I left metal when I cut out most of the rust. I have a whole new corner for this section.

Under on the passenger side plate liight it has rusted out as well, I removed most of the metal here. I have a patch for this portion as well...the patch is a whole rear of a 318is from seam to seam on the taillights.

The floor under the rear passenger footwell needs to be cut out and removed, about a 5 square in section. Right now I just siliconed a old license plate on there to keep the water out...and it works better than when the rotted plug was there.

The driver side rear fender arch also need to be cut out. I have a arch from another 88 that is pristine precut for this section as well.

How bad is the crack in the windshield?

its top to bottom, needs new glass.

The seal and clip is included, new glass is about 200 uninstalled for the DIYer. about 330 installed.

I drove with the crack for about 6months, its safe but wont pass inspection

i had a new aftermarket windshield installed on my previous 4 door for less than $300 in the bronx.

btw, ive seen this car in person, seller did a great job on the interior, top and engine bay.
