How much should i pay for this e30???

    im about to trade a 98 vr6 jetta for a 87 325is
the 325 has over 200K and the interior is okay except the drivers seat has a cover on it its ripped so bad. The VW interior is in muuuch better shape. I told him i would give him some money since my VW isnt in the best condition, he doesnt really want to let the car go, and im looking strictly for a rwd trade so this car would suit my drifting needs extremely well.
http://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto/2290962541.html is my car on craigslist..it says 3.5k but its really a 2800 car.

I also have to replace the front suspension on the car since he told me it was going..so since i have to do the seats, carpets need shampoo (i hope thats all), i think its original clutch and im loosing a lot of HP in the trade. what do you guys think is fair

if u need more info let me know!

i dont think the e30 is worth $2800. coupe or sedan? rust? pics of the e30 would help.

That has got to be one of the worst FS ads I have ever seen.

Sorry, man, don't mean to be harsh, but think about this: who in their right mind cares if you are a "RWD guy" or that "you planned" this mod or that...may I suggest you get the facts in your ad and leave the superfluous stuff out? They want to know about the car and its condition. Stick to that, your car will sell much quicker.

The Jetta (which I personally despise, good call on dumping that thing) looks like it would make a great DD for lots of people, so GLWS.

As far as the E30, 200K ain't shit for these cars, nor is $3K. Early cars (pre '88) sell for less, but an '87 325iS is easily the most desirable of the "earlys" (US spec, that is).

      Oh yeah...welcome to R3V.

well stereoinstaller1 it seems u had a bad day..ive never really looked at bmw's as ive been around 240's more. im clueless when it comes to the e30's

I will post pics but i did not know where a topic like this would go. im not selling a car at all. im looking on advice for this trade. read first and jumo to conclusions never next time bruh. the "superfluous" info is to try and give strangers reading this a better idea of the trade. some people dont care if they get rid of their car (me), but the guy im trading with doesnt REALLY want to let it go. things like that have factors in how much money i should give for the trade..honestly i would give him the money cause its what i want more than what he does

i will post pics but i hope that clears things up. im trying to get a value of the bmw basically

Well, by the small pics it looks to be in fair condition, granted a color I would never buy, but that is just me. As a current and former 87 325is owner I will agree with StereoInstaller1 that it is the most desirable of the pre-face-lift E30's. If it is mechanically sound then $2800 is a good deal.

keep the e30. the high mileage vr6 engines are shit. the run 3 on the exhaust pipes through the head and the heat of that ruins the head really fast. that car will need a clutch very soon if it hasnt had one done yet. and it looks like the PO used to race/drive like an idiot daily. that shit is gonna be broke.

I would say it's a 2000 dollar car at best from the pics, but considering it's Bronzit I would say it's worth 800.
