    FS 1991 318is 3,000 OBO

For sale is a 1991 bmw 318is e30, brilliantrot, 5 speed manual, in good condition. Has vinyl seats in black. Body is fairly clean, just a couple smalls dings and chips, and absolutely no rust. The paint job is original but looks incredible. Mechanically it's also in very good condition. Clutch feels good, shifts perfectly into every gear, and runs strong. And aside from a little bit of damage on the the drivers seat from wear and tear, the interior looks great. Has kumho tires with about 5000 miles, brand new spark plugs, recently changed oil, and some kind of aftermarket exhaust (no idea).

    The bad:
Car won't pass emissions but comes very very close. At most it's usually only about 40-50 points over in hydrocarbons. I'm thinking it needs a new o2 sensor.
    No air conditioning.

$3,000 OBO, but I would prefer a straight trade for a nice Volkswagen or BMW.

I can take more pictures if you're interested.

Word of advice, with 3-4 gallons of fuel in the tank add a few bottles of dry-gas (line antifreeze). It will get you to pass if it's really close.

Here are some more pictures of the car. http://img683.imageshack.us/g/picture020rp.jpg/

Don't be afraid to make any kind of offer. Got an e36 and you would rather have an e30 (who doesn't)? Make me an offer. Have an mk3 or mk4 jetta or golf? I would be more than happy to take it off your hands. More cars apply (e28, e34, etc) so just let me know what you have and maybe we can work somethin out.

I am seriously interested, but no ac and not passing emissions are too major issues for me. Are you willing to move on the price at all? I should be ready to buy either Friday or Saturday morning at the latest.
