Hey all,

I'm thinking about selling my 1988 325IX. I need somethin with a little more space but not sure I can make it happen right now. I've been browsing some similar classifieds trying to figure out a fair asking price, if you could give me some direction it'd be much appreciated.

The car has 155k miles which will go up some as it's my daily driver. Mechanically it's running great, never had any problems. AWD works like a champ, I live in MI with 200-300 inches of snow and have never gotten stuck. Had the valves done in the last 10k as well as all the basic maintenance. Always use mobil 1. Did the tranny, t-case, diffs with redline in the last 2k.
The body is in pretty good shape, a few minor rust spots in the normal places (door jamb corner, license plate light, minor bubble on the sun roof), no major structural rust. The interior is all original grey in pretty good shape for a car its age. The driver's seat has some cracking but no tears. Use lexol to clean/condition.
Some feedback would be great. I'll write up a more detailed post with more pics if I can make this work. I love this car and will miss it but I need somethin in a truck right now.

That's a very nice iX. with rust, you should be starting at about 3,500 obo

I added some photos of the rust spots to my album. The blower motor is squealing intermittently,so I may or may not replace that. The antenna sticks a bit but isn't really an issue. It will come with 3 sets of wheels. 15" on the car with snows used for 1 season, General altimax artic, amazing tires. A set of bottlecaps with fairly well used all seasons, and the original baskets which were slightly squared on purchase.

Thanks for the interest. Unfortunately I'm not ready for an immediate sale. Still trying to figure out what I'm going to do about my next vehicle, but anything is possible.

I posted a few more pics in my album and here are a few more things about the car.

Purchased in '07 w/ ~135k miles. Most of mine have been highway.

Second owner works for Automotive Magazine and used to be a BMW mechanic. (He still has some nice BMW's. E30 M3 and possibly another IX)

Original owner I'm told was an older woman in Chicago who was very gentle on it though I can't confirm this.

Conforti Chip installed, runs of premium gas. Still have stock chip. Cockpit computer tells me I average about 22mpg combined with the snows on, and about 25 combined with summers.

Scorpion exhaust and reman. alternator since I've owned it as well as lots of other small things (license plate light, hood cable, those sort of things)

Aftermarket Blaupunkt bahamas head unit with upgraded speakers. The head unit is decent but nothing amazing but I chose it because it was the only one I could find that didn't look god awfully bad. Still have original speakers and head unit though the cassette player doesn't work. Radio works fine. The cassette tape holders still work as well, which I think is awesome and it confuses my friends.

I'll consider any offers and do my best to accommodate with pics and info. When I get my act together I'll put together a proper listing.

Just drove from Houghton MI to Madison WI. According to the cockpit I averaged 28mpg at 61mph for 135 miles and 25.5mpg at 71mph for 185 miles. Motor pures like a kitten, cruise control works perfectly, no problems at all.

I originally started the post to get an idea of what I should ask for it. After reading the posts and pm's I'm lookin for $3,700 for the car and all wheels/rims/stock pieces that have been upgraded.
