Hey everyone,
About a year ago, a friend of mine got all excited about E30's after seeing my SpecE30 build and wanted a project E30 for himself so we set out onto a mission to find him a nice solid E30 with big plans on building the car. After a couple months of looking for a car we found him this one and started work but after going through winter his plans changed and ended up buying a new house so he is looking to sell the car. Since I found him the car, did all the work on it, it would only make sense that I sell it for him as well since I know the car a lot better then he does. So no, this is not mycar, it is a close friend of mine but I will be the one in contact with anyone interested to make a smoother transaction for everyone.
This is a 1984 BMW 325e that is Hennarot. We bought the car about a year ago and it was completely stock with some problems. Our plans was to get the car running smoothly and then over the winter put the car in storage and fix and body issues and repaint the car then build the motor into a 2.7L stroker.
The car is running great now and drives great after doing a complete tune up to the engine, replacing the driveshaft flex disk and bearing, along with doing a complete overhaul of the suspension with alignment, upgrading to a Z3 3.0 shifter, full custom exhaust from headers back.
The good:
New Bilstien shocks
New H&R sport springs
New Control Arms
New Sway Bar End links
New Control Arm Bushings
New Tie Rods
New Rear Shock Mounts
New Coolant resv cap
New Spark Plugs
New distributor cap and rotor
New battery
New tie rod boots
Full Custom Exhaust from headers back
Illuminated shift knob
New Z3 3.0 shift lever
Sport Steering wheel
The Bad:
Rust issues(along bottom of doors and driver side rear quarter panel)
Glove box latch is broken( It up and closes but lever does work properly)
Power steering rack leaks slightly(you can see a couple drops on driveway)
Odometer broken around 150k (we believe there to be around 200k on it)
Interior:
The interior isnt too bad at all. It cleans up nicely but as you can see in the pics, could use a cleaning. There are no tears in the leather at all just normal wear that you can see in the pics. The headliner is clean and everything is complete.
Exterior:
The car is Hennarot and is the origional color for this car. It is pretty clean just minus the rust issues it has on the doors and rear quarter panel wheel well. The exterior is completely stock and we haven't touched it at all.
Suspension and brakes:
All of the suspension is BRAND NEW within the last 6 months and has maybe 400 miles on it since being replaced. Look above for what all has been replaced. The brakes were checked when the suspension was replaced and they were looking very good, there was no lip on the rotors at all and the pads had about 70% left on them. We have no changed the fluids at all in the brake reservoir but seems to be no issues.
Engine and Trans:
The engine runs very smoothly after getting everything tuned up and changing the oil as well. Look above for everything that was replaced. Shift lever was swapped out for the Z3 3.0 lever. When replacing it, we heard mixed reviews as to whether the selector rod had to modified or not to avoid rubbing on the driveshaft so we decided to leave it alone. When putting the car into reverse the selector rod does rub slightly on the driveshaft but does not rub at all in 1-5th gears or neutral. Also, we have a custom built exhaust from the headers out that sounds amazing. There is a small cat and muffler.
Price is $1800.
Serious inquiries only.
