    1991 2dr 325i 5spd graphitmtllc

    1991 bmw 325i 2dr graphite-metallic E30 – cuddly little cat that has a personality.

    Asking price - $2350 – very negotiable

I have had this car since late spring of ’06. Everything was original on it – after a year of owning it, it was driving like a boat – time has come to start replacing worn parts. The fun has begun! As I was, still am a student, it was not done all at once – financially wasn’t possible for me. So, I saved up, bought parts, did work with dad’s help. He is a bmw mechanic working at a bmw of austin, learned a lot from him. It was my daily since the time of purchase up to early march of 2011. I did numerous trips around texas, drove to OK, nm. This car has never left me stranded – you put your time and money into maintenance, it will give you back pure joy of driving. I parked it in the house garage when I bought an ’05 9-5 2.3t saab.

The reason for a switch is the following: I don’t have time or money to keep it, it needs attention as it is more of a hobby then just a car. I need to finish school and the money from it would go towards tuition which would make it a whole lot easier for me to pay for classes. Saab is a car that takes me from a to b, that is what I’m comfortable with at this point.

(1)hit a deer driving to classes in the morning in my neighborhood(fall ’09)
(2)lady was backing out of a driveway on a truck hit my bimmer, it was parked by a curb(fall ’08)
(3)spun out when light rain just started, road was oily, tires were sub-par, was a sweeping access road to mopac (spring ’09)

The car has a rebuilt title – because of (1). I did all the paper work, re-registering etc.

Apart from the description that follows, it has 210k, it needs a brake overhaul, the body is not pretty. Mechanically it is a solid E30 – reason for >2k price, but negotiable.

    -exterior
-front – everything is functioning, all pieces are present cosmetically good
Reson for foglight blanks – one of them has a broken glass (truck tire on fwy)
“IS” lip is not holding on all the clips, typical is lip story here..
Grill is cracked on the inside due to the deer accident(1).
-back – all lights are good, bumper has a crack and trim needs to be replaced
-pass side – light oxidation showing up on top of the fender, rear quarter/wheel arch has a dent in it (2)
-driver’s side – the fender has been replaced, rear quarter has a dent in it (3)
    -interior
-seats – sport 318is black seats, driver’s has a rip passenger back has cardboard showing on ends
    -dash – nice and clean
-carpet – original, has a few trouble spots
    -headlining – original
    - instruments – everything works on the cluster, HVAC controls, etc.
-A/C – rebuilt compressor, converted to R134 blows cold
    -engine
-cooling – hoses/wp/tstat all replaced, rad – original, doesn’t leak
    - t-belt replaced, front crank/cam seals replaced, pretty much everything else without taking the engine apart
    - mobil 1 15-50 synth oil, no sludge going on 210k
    -ansa exhaust
    -driveline
-tranny – getrag 260 out of ’90 525i with 115k, bought at terry’s, all clutch/shifter components are new except fly (shaved/surfaced to ~13lb)
-rebuilt driveshaft, original 4.10 open diff, dry
    -suspension
-front – original subframe, new c-arms, everything replaced when installing 60/40 spring/shock kit (kw/st) – shocks are dry and firm
-rear – original subframe, original t-arms, IE green subframe bushes, IE black t-arm bushes, new bolts front/rear

Drives straight with hands off the steering wheel, does not have camber plates – inside tire wear.
