I'm thinking about selling my 1989 BMW 325i 2 Door 5 speed Manual Trans. Clean title, Has Automatic windows, cruise control, ABS.
Everything was done for preventative maintenance within the last 2 years, except for the drive line, the center support had went out on that.
Pros
Compression is good on all cylinders
Timing belt, water pump, pulleys, and tensioner (OEM)
BMW coolant with distilled water
Ignition cap, Rotor, Spark Plugs and Wires(OEM)
Rack and pinion with both tie rods- the passenger side tie rod was loose and the boots were torn so i replaced the whole thing.(OEM)
Trans and Diff have red line gear fluid
Motor mounts(OEM)
Trans mounts(OEM)
Shifter bushings and cup replaced(OEM)
Flywheel resurfaced at Sebring West
Sachs clutch kit, pilot bearing (OEM)
Drive line- guibo and center support all came as one piece from Weber BMW. I didn't want a used one.
Both rear axles(OEM)
Control arms with bushings (OEM)
H&R lowering springs
KYB Gas charged shocks
Shock mounts(OEM)
Sport Max 002 17"
Yokohama S Drive 215/40/R17 90% tread
Aluminum Hub Centric Rings
3mm H&R Wheel Spacers front and back
Ate brakes and rotors all around with sensors
Pioneer CD player with detachable face, usb hook up and remote
Rockford Fosgate Prime 6in the rear and 5.25 in the front- connected to an amp in the trunk
New antenna mast and grommet
Oil changed every 3 months with a Mahle oil filter
Fuel Filter, fuel hoses and clamps replaced
I recovered the R-12 from the ac system and put it under vacuum, the system doesn't leak and the compressor works, its ready to be converted to R-134A, just needs oil, freon and the conversion fittings.
Replaced the Catalytic Converter 7/1/2011
Cons
Seats are torn
Dash has cracks(I have another dash with no cracks in it, never got around to putting it in)
Door lock cylinders get stuck sometimes so i just use the trunk
Odometer stopped at 225K
Lost the screw and clamps for the glove box
Sunroof crank popped off
A piece of the fan cage came off on the blower motor fan while on high, if you put it on high it rubs the housing, it works on low though.
I'll post some better pics tomorrow.
