Hey guys, I'm selling my amazing Touring. Fantastic car built by some legit guys, Jack (JaxS50), Tim (VacMan) and Saliya (euromcars). Here is a copy of my CL ad.
1995 BMW 525i Touring. 200K on chassis. Low mileage engine and 5 speed manual transmission out of an E36 M3. Just about everything mechanically is new. Drives, starts, brakes, like a brand new car. The perfect mix of performance, utility, reliability and economy. I genuinely hate to sell it but my finances force me to. Southern California car it's entire life until this year. Built with no expenses by some of the most knowledgeable people in the BMW community.
- 1995 E36 M3 Modified S50 Engine
- Ported and polished heads
- Titanium Retainers
- EURO E36 M3 3.5inch HFM with 21 LBS Injectors Turner Chip
- Engine has under 50K miles, 20k since the head work
- It made 238 HP at the wheels through a Supersprint Header
- 5 Speed E36 M3 ZF Transmission 70k Miles
- Completely rebuilt driveshaft
- UUC light weight aluminum Flywheel and UUC Clutch
- Hartge cat-back exhaust
- Racing Dynamics Bilstein Sport Shocks with H & R Springs, all the upper mounts
- 3.23 Limited Slip Differential- Traction Control Removed
- 17 x 8 E34 M5 Wheels. I have a set of Turbine covers I'll throw in but they are missing center caps.
- AC blows COLD
- Braking system is completely new.
- E34 M5 Bumpers, front and rear
- HID headlight kit
- Everything works. The dual sunroofs function perfectly as do all of the hatch functions. All windows roll up and down quickly and smoothly. No funny electrical gremlins anywhere.
- JVC CD- MP3- IPod deck.
- etc etc
Nothing was spared during the build/ swap. Used parts were discarded and replaced with new OEM parts throughout. Even down to hoses and clamps. Meticulous receipts and notes included. Mechanically the car needs absolutely nothing.
Things that could use attention:
- The driver's seat base is ripped and could stand to be replaced or recovered. The passenger seat is a little dry.
- The headliner should be redone soon.
- The roof is faded and should be repainted. I had the hood stripped to bare metal and repainted with the M5 bumpers. The hood could use a cut and polish, not bad though. My plan was to repaint the entire car this winter but unfortunately I'm not going to have the cash. The car deserves it.
- The factory M50 exhaust manifold and 200K mile catalytic converter and still in place. The car needs a good header and free flow cat. There is a LOT of power bottle-necked right there.
- The windshield is cracked but I have a new one that I'll include.
- The shadowline trim is cracking in a few places. Easy fix.
- Wheel lips could stand to be refinished or polished.
There is well over $10,000 invested in this car, plus a whole lot of man hours. Its as sorted of a driver as they come. I really wanted to finish the car but like I said, I just can't afford to. Hopefully the next owner can. $8,500 or a very near offer. Thanks,
Ryan
