    WTB: Cheap e30 or e28 for Auto-X

    I am looking for an early e30 or e28 project that I can work on and massage into an autocross toy. My main concerns are a solid engine and not much rust. I don't really care about the paint and I don't really care about the interior. I would prefer a 535i/is or 325i/is no e's. Also it must be a manual transmission car. Looking to spend under $2k preferably closer to $1k. Just let me know what you have and I will consider it. I would consider a shell and motor separate if the prices are right.
