    FS: '89 325i in NY

Up for sale is my 1989 BMW 325i coupe. I recently picked up an MKIV VW GTI and no longer have need for this car.

I've owned the car for about 2.5 years. I bought it from a member on here, Chris Langsten (UNHCLL), in April 2009. Prior to this car, I owned an '87 325e for 6 years.

It has been driven year round, through summer and upstate NY winters. There is a bit of surface rust on the body panels that you will see in the photos. The car has not been tracked or auto-crossed. The tires are on their second summer of use. I usually change from snows to summers in April and then back again in November. I have never been stuck nor had issues with snow (and we get a lot of it in Buffalo!).

The radio is a JVC KDG-300. The OEM BMW tape deck is included in the sale. The speakers are upgraded from stock (Polk Audio up front, Infinity in back).

    The dashboard is crack-free!

    Details:
    ~172,000 miles
-5-speed (formerly auto, swapped by previous owner)
-Schwarz Black, with Indigo Blue sport interior

    Upgrades:
    -Bilstein Sport shocks
    -E30 M3 springs
    -2.93 LSD
    -Stromung cat-back exhaust
    -IS Front and rear lips
    -Euro bumper trim
    -Euro grills
    -Smoked turn signals
    -Clutch stop
    -M-color stitched shift/ebrake boots

Maintenance within the last 20k miles:
    -Timing belt
    -Water pump
    -Radiator hoses
    -New coolant
    -V-belts
    -Spark plugs
    -Distributor cap/rotor
    -New brake fluid
    -RF control arm + bushing

    Parts included, but not installed:
    -LF control arm + bushing
    -Front brake pads + sensor
    -Front sway bar links
    -Snow tires on steel wheel

    Tool kit mostly there

    Snow tires

Pics of engine will be up tomorrow (needs to be cleaned).

    What needs attention:
-Driveshaft - This is the #1 problem. It needs a new driveshaft. Changing the guibo and center bearing has not solved this problem, so I had a shop confirm that the driveshaft u-joints are toast. Driveline Services of Portland would be your best bet for getting a re-manufactured unit (or junkyard).
-Front brake pads need to be changed (included in sale)
-Car only locks from passenger's side door
    -Seats need covers
-Surface rust is beginning to show through near the taillights, and bubbles are forming on the leading edge of the hood
-The front valence could use a respray
-OBC has the usual “wavy screen” problem

    Asking price: $SOLD

Feel free to PM me any questions.

    -Joel

A new driveshaft I am guessing would be around $300-400 with a core refund.

                    Thanks,
                    Joel

Thanks Jeff! I'll be back to the E30 world at some point (probably when I have a garage to do work in)!

Always down for a road trip too!

Also, price is negotiable on the car! All offers considered.
