So I'm testing the waters to see if I want to sell my e30 that I use as my DD. It's 1989 Black on Grey, 5 spd 325iS. The car has treated me very well the past few months, but I'm looking to buy an E34 touring.
Specs on the car:
Motor and drivetrain:
Motor was rebuilt by the previous owner about 20,000 miles ago, including timing belt and water pump replacement, all hoses, fresh fluids, etc. This e30 has the strongest 2.5 "i" motor that I've driven. I've owned 4 other e30s and have driven dozens of other similar e30s. While my last DD had a strong engine (due to a rebuilt head) this one is noticeably better.
A/C just refreshed with the R134 line & compressor conversion, new dryer, and freon recharged. A/C blows ice cold and car runs no hotter then the half mark in 95+ degree, stop & go traffic.
Castro's M50 mass air flow meter conversion, with K&N cone air filter, and a custom tuned chip for the application. Instant throttle response, and a greatly improved powerband. The motor really woke up from 2500 rpms all the way to red line!
Single 2.5" custom header-back, catless exhaust system, with an 18" resonator and large case, Spintech Pro Street muffler. Sounds awesome and flows great! Catalytic converter can be added for an additional cost.
The clutch is in good shape, not sure of mileage.
Transmission shifts fine with no issue.
The car has a 95 M3 short shift lever, with a mint 6 speed, wood grain e39 m5 illuminated shift knob.
Factory 3.73 LSD
Suspension and Steering:
Freshly rebuilt steering rack, with new inner and out tie rods
Freshly replaced M3 offset control arm bushings
Turner Motorsport J Stock Sprinmgs, with new Meyle HD front struts and new super secret, stiff rear shocks.
New front and rear shock mounts.
M3 sway bar link conversion, with new links
Car drives and handles very comfortably for a daily driver, with a nice stance and much better cornering ability.
14" chrome bottle caps, with decent tires.
Brakes:
Front and rear pads replaced
Paint & Exterior:
The car's paint and exterior are in good shape for an '89, much cleaner than many of the e30s out there.
The body is straight and true with no dents, gashes or rust.
The paint is about an 7 out of 10. After the car is freshly washed, the car presents itself very well. The front valence could use a respray, which can be done for an additional charge.
The car has 2 working fog lights, but both the glass lens are broken and need to be replaced.
The car has custom painted red tail lights, eliminating the orange turn signal for a beautiful red.
Car can come with either the smaller front "i" lip, or a freshly purchased, never installed iS front lip for an extra $150.
Interior:
Grey leather sport interior in good shape except for the top bolsters on the driver's seat.
Crack free dash!
Sounds:
Pioneer head unit with CD/MP3/USB/AUX
Premium speaker package
Great sounding intake and exhaust!
I'd like to get $4,000 for the car AS IS.
I don't need to sell it, so don't bother lowballing me. The only car I will trade for is a white on black e34 touring.
This car is reliable as sin and a fun daily commuter. It gets decent gas mileage, has ice cold A/C and would truly look great with a decent set of wheels.
Anyway, here are some pics for now (sorry for the poor cell phone quality):
