That's a fair question.
I am a serious buyer. Since this is not my first go around buying a car, I have learned. I am looking for something very nice. Not looking for a daily driver that have been taken to the car wash and given a coat of spray wax with some armour all on the tires.
One lesson I have learned is not to waste my time. Serious sellers with really nice cars have good photos available to make the buyer want to come see the car. If a serious buyer looking for a top end car shows up, he's 10x's more likely to buy it unless the seller did not disclose something.
So I am asking for the photos to rule out the one's that are not worth my time or are worth considering a visit to. It also tells me something about the seller and how serious they are. I just don't have that kind of time to waste on cars that are not described as they really are. Furthermore, I have learned that my version of really clean and someone else's are not necessarily the same.
Here is an example...my 240Z. I consider this very clean.

You have have X photos showing the car with some detail. However, it doesn't change what is in the photos and what you are taking the actual picture of.
I will address your car directly...it is not the one for me. I don't want a roll bar and suubwoofer speakers, etc. I am looking for either a stock version or something that is only slightly modified with a stock appearance. Wheels and tires, maybe an updated steering wheel or perhaps a chip and exhaust. Those kinds of things.
Thank you very much for sharing your car for consideration.Comment

Hope my last posting was not perceived as harsh. There was a prior person who expressed interest a few weeks ago, we exchanged "pm"s, then he sends a pm at 3 a.m., asking for pics. I complied, then radio silence. Your 2 a.m. request felt similar. Not fair of me to make assumptions and judge you based on some flake. You could simply work nights. You are clearly a sincere purchaser. Nice Z in your photos. I am assuming a mid 70s vintage. They were real sleepers in the 70s, when I was in high school. My friend's dad had one back then. My buddy got to borrow it, and smoked my 77 Camaro on Rte. 1, back in the day. I didn't know they had such a powerful top end. I like my roll bar, BTW. It's like carrying an umbrella. Hope I never need it, but it's nice knowing it's there. I have seen cars on the track wind up in a position in which the driver wished he had one! Best of luck with your search.Comment

Anyway, my response was late due to me simply coming to some conclusions as to what I wanted....really wanted. All cars are interesting and fun when they are new to you. I simply had to choose what I really, really wanted at the end of the day and I decided that compromise was not an option. So I posted when I was sure and did not want to tug your chain. I thought a single loop roll bar would be kind of neat, but I just realize this car will never see the track and it won't be needed.
Thanks for the post and showing you, like all of us, are human. It's not how bad you do something, it's how well you recover. Your stock just went up with me. I wish you luck with your sale.Comment

I don't really remember, all i know was that car was clean...that motor was immaculate from what I saw in the pictures. it was done right. btw, my buddy just happened to tell me that he his future in-laws(lol) have an e30 for sale.
great body, clean/no rust, runs, but has a minor leak, which can be fixed in house. I'll have pics of it pretty soon if you're interested.Comment
