    1990 325IX 5 Speed 2 Door $2500

My IX has nearly 172k on the clock. The car is a very light silver, I have never actually seen another IX in this color, and only a couple of other E30's. I drive the car 50 miles round trip to work every day. Here is the speil:

The Bad: The woman who owned it before me was rear ended and pushed into the car in front of her. The resulting damage is a crinkle in the right rear quarter and a dented hood and fender. This accident was over 40k miles ago, and there are no driveability issues with the car at all. Everything lines up fine. It would be wise to replace both front fenders as the drivers side has rust at the bottom, although a patch would probably do the trick anyway. The ABS, E Brake, A/C and cruise do not work.

The Good: Both rear wheel bearings have been replaced, as well as the timing belt and tie rod ends. I also had the right inner and outer CV boots done. All of those items were done by 3D auto, an amazing shop that only works on BMW's. www.3dautoworks.com . I did the basic tune up items myself: Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, K&N panel air filter. I always do my oil changes between 3k and 3500 miles, always with a new Mann Oil Filter. The interior is in great shape with no cracks on the dash or console. Seats have wear spots, but nothing terrible. I have 4 new BFGoodrich high performance tires mounted on the original rims. I also have 4 nearly new Nokian Hakkapellita Q snow tires mounted on steel wheels.

The stereo - a nice Kenwood with 4 nice Rockford Fosgate speakers. Everything is bolted into original mounting holes, I did not enlarge speaker holes or anything like that. I do have Satellite radio installed, but I will remove it and install it in my next car. I replaced all of the speaker wire when I did the radio as well.

All in all it is a fairly clean IX, and could be a perfect car with some bodywork.

What's the condition of the transfer case and 4wd system?

Transfer case and AWD system are fine. The car has been amazing in the winters. I do a lot of ice climbing, snowboarding, mountaineering, etc. so I was out in every big snow storm and I never got stuck. Everything seems to be functioning as it should.

if 90% of the board took their cars to a body shop they would be considered a total loss....
that is a shitty place to have damage, but it is fixable.... if only you weren't so far away

This is what Dave was trying to get at. He's not being a dick, he's trying to help your sale. Yes, as is, the car is perfectly fine to drive as a beater or something. But a bend like that in the unibody costs more to fix than to find a shell to swap your parts into.

That said, FS posts aren't up for debate or argument - if you're interested in the car - post questions or comments. If you disagree with the seller on his price or mental value of the car - take it to PM. Your opinion of the car may be far different from someone else - they may see the same value the seller does and your comments may spoil a sale.
