    WTB-e30 iX manual >5K

Just as the tile says, I'm looking for a 325ix for under 5k. Also, I have a potential ix I could buy but the guy wants 5800 for it. I'll post some pics of it so maybe you guys could help me out and let me know if it's worth that. I've been looking at getting an e30 for a long time now, just cautious as to when to bite.

The car is a 1991 325ix with 160K miles. He is the second owner. small amount of rust on rear bumper. Otherwise rust free.

I know of someone in MI (oakland county) that may still have a very nice delphine IX in your price range. Really nice guy that have plenty of e30 parts and whole cars. PM me for more details.

in my opinion that's a long way from a 5800 ix. and from the looks of that carpet I would suspect there is rust hiding where you can't see it.

Keep looking, iXs come up from time to time in much better shape for much less.

supernaughtIX - I was thinking the same thing. Thanks a lot for offering up your opinion. Since I am just getting into e30s, I really need all the help I can get.

you should be able to score a very decent ix for around the 4k mark. For info on buying an iX, check this buyers guide:

And here is a ton of other info that should prove useful:

Shop around a bit and price them up 5800 sounds a bit much for that one imo
. I mean it is an older car, how's the trannie? the transfer case? you know , all the usual junk. i just bought a 89 ix auto, within 2 months the transmission and the transfer case had to be rebuilt ( $2k) and i'm also fixing things up as i go and i'm noting things that need to be done, slow leak from p/s pump, a/c was disconnected so i have to check that out when the weather gets warmer. and tons of little things. so basically just be careful in what you buy. and don't have your heart set on it before you go look at it.. nuff said and if you find a pass side door for a 89 coupe give me a yell , i live downriver of detroit and a full set of basketweaves. GL.

found this on ebay a second ago

                  and this one

found one more on craigslist in pontiac not an ix but e30 though

another one but a bit pricey, but looks cherry

and a real beauty that i wouldn't mind jumping on

there was one more on craigslist in warren for $1600, 89 that looks nice but i think you get the idea

Red-ish 89 325ix with dent in the door, bad paint, missing center caps, broken defrost, broken ac, p/s pump may be going, brake pad sensors missing. On the plus side i just had the trannie and tc fixed for 2 grand!!

Thanks catoichi, That 4th one would be pretty sweet but a bit pricey :)
I've got one in the works right now coming out of Detroit, so maybe that will work out. Gotta get this freaking Cobalt sold though haha
