FS: 1991 318i 4 door bunch of new stuff

    SOLD

I'm just putting this up because I have the feeling it's time for a new car, but I'm not sure yet, so this is just a feeler for the time being still someone is either seriously interested or I make up my mind.

I spent most of August refreshing almost everything in this car for it to be up for anything. This car was an absolute basket case when I bought it a year before. Everything was either broken, blown, or on its way out. I've gone through replacing almost everything I could afford or had the time to. There's still a few items left, but mostly cosmetic at this point.

I'm the 5th owner on paper. The original owner purchased it in Germany through a BMW dealer in Washington. He owned it till importation when owner #2 and his wife (owner #3, she got it in the divorce) bought it. The wife was the owner till 2009 when my friend bought it. He owned it for almost a year when I bought it in August of 2010, it had been sitting majority of that year as a back up car.

In the year and a half I have owned it, it has never given me any troubles other than a belt flying off once in 15,000 miles. The old M42 still ran great when I pulled it out to preform a 24v swap, albeit with failing timing components. It had been rebuilt at some point in it's life. Crosshatching was still visible in the block when the head was pulled. I still have it available to go with the car if you are concerned about vins matching.

In it's current state, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. I make a 800 mile trip every month with zero hick ups to date.

At some point, someone decided to have some body work done. The car had a crappy Schwarz respray (originally Diamond Schwarz) and driver side fender replacement (all other vins match fyi). This is the glaring fault in this particular E30. The result is a 5 footer car that requires a good buff every 2 weeks to keep it looking good. This is my main concern that makes me want to sell it. I'm too picky when it comes to body work and I sure as hell can't afford to get a job done that I would be satisfied with. ;)

    Items that still need attention:
-Paint has peeled in a few areas exposing the original paint.
-An area on the hood and fender have cracks in the paint.
-The headliner portion on the sunroof has a hole, the rest needs a good stretch near the doors.
    -Various dings on the body.
-Rear subframe bushings, trailing arms, rear wheel bearings, and diff haven't been touched yet other than a fluid change. I've been holding off on that project as the E30 is my primary car right now.
-The radio antenna doesn't always come up. I believe it's the motor itself as I recently greased the internals.
-The windshield is original and quite pitted. (Will be replaced in the coming weeks)
-Some bubbles in the paint near the sunroof is present. (Fixed)
-ABS is currently disabled. (New wheel sensor is on order)
-Door locks need to be rebuilt. (Trunk locks and unlocks, but driver's door only locks.)
-One high beam got hit with a rock so there's a crack in the glass now :/

I will add some newer pics once I get a chance to clean it.

    Price: $7,200obo
I have documented over $6,500 in maintenance and upgrade items since I bought the car. So this is being factored in with my price as well as the value of the MT-2 kit. I'm open to trades such as another E30, E28, E34, or E36, manuals only please. Thanks for looking! :)

I have the interior out right now cleaning up the install of the satellite radio modules. So once that's back together, I can take some. I'll get some of the engine bay when I get home from work.

                            Bump, price drop.

I was busy fixing the paint bubbles by the sunroof today, so I didn't get a chance to snap a pic of the engine bay. I'll try again tomorrow.
