    PDX - 91 318i For Sale

Hello E30 types. Sadly taking a break for now from the E30.
    Looking for 2k for it.

    From my CL ad:

Selling my clean titled daily driver of the past 6 years.
This is a great example of the final year for the E30 sedan for the US. It starts up every time and runs great and is quite clean compared to many you see out there. I've had to do very little except keep up with regular maintenance since I've owned it.
The main reason for selling is the clutch is just beginning to show signs of needing to be replaced (still drives fine though) and my wife would prefer we get a more "family friendly" vehicle rather than put money into it. So I've knocked the price down accordingly. While you won't get a long-lasting clutch, you will get:

A late model E30 with the plastic bumpers and minimal body issues - no rust and only a few "dings" as you'd expect from a 20-year-old car with 210k miles
The 1.8 liter 4 cylinder M42 engine that'll get you better gas mileage than the 2.5 liter M20 straight 6 you could have gotten in '91 (~28mpg - driving to Vancouver a lot)
A 5 speed manual transmission (hence the clutch)
The premium stock "basket weave" or "BBS" wheels in decent shape, though they've kissed a curb or two in their 20 years. They don't seem bent at all though
Newer tires (General Altimax) with less than 10k miles on them (nice and quiet and quite good in snow for a non-snow tire)
VERY few electrical gremlins as German cars go (the clock does wig-out at times and needs a new LCD anyway which is common and the rear windows need new switches - I've left them this way as "child protection")
Sport seats "recaros" in the front - covered with the nicer fitted seat covers from BavAuto.com
The awesome perforated vinyl rear seat with ski pass-through that came in the all-wheel-drive IX model
New Polk and Infinity component speakers in the stock locations. No subs/amps or butchered wiring and the deck is just a basic "low profile" Pioneer CD deck with auxiliary jack for MP3 players. It sounds good, but definitely won't wake the neighbors.
Conforti ECU chip (Don't get excited. It doesn't make the car fast by any means, but I would say it's more "eager" and just takes advantage of the 91 octane gas that BMW already suggested you put in it)
Most everything works except the AC (never bothered with it in 6 years). Also the handle for the manual sunroof (no leaks) has come off, but it still works and I keep it in the glove box for those rare days in sunny PDX.

So if you're looking to completely restore an E30 or just looking for an inexpensive daily driver with some euro style, send me a PM and we'll work out coming to check it out.

Did this car live in the Richmond neighborhood? Looks super clean. Sorry to see it go!

Yep! Now it lives in Vantucky. My neighbor right at the end of the street has a super clean IS that I still get to look at though.
