Hello,
As stated in the title, I'm selling my 2001 E39 BMW 530i M-sport 5-speed MT. I've owned the car for two years, but am now in a position to step into my "dream" car. I cannot speak highly enough about this 530i, but I must now say goodbye.
SOLD
High-res gallery of perfections and imperfections here: http://goo.gl/Krolc
Details:
3-owner car, full service records, clean title
~135k miles
Sought after 5-speed manual transmission
Brilliant M54B30 inline-6 engine. 228 HP, 220 ft lbs torque. Arguably the best engine ever produced by BMW. Observed 30MPG highway, 21MPG city.
Anthracite Metallic exterior (condition: 8.5/10. One very minor dent just below the right taillight and a few door dings. Nothing crazy for a 12 year old car)
Black leather interior with very rare black trim. No wood grain. (condition: 9.5/10. Nearly perfect.)
M-sport suspension, 17" Style 42 wheels
Cold-weather package: Toasty heated seats and headlamp washers
HID Headlights
Premium 10-speaker DSP stereo with 6CD changer
Newish Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires
Since its time in Portland (it lived in Walnut Creek, CA before), I've either serviced it myself, taken it to Autohaus Bayern in Beaverton, or to Kuni BMW.
The only modifications on this car are the following: ZHP shift knob, and the euro center-console upgrade, which adds an opening/sliding, padded center armrest ($500)
Minor issues, per its last visit to Kuni BMW:
Minor valve cover gasket leak
Minor oil filter housing leak
Worn rear ball joints
Minor soft power steering hose leak (like every BMW)
One foglight HID ballast is dead. I'd recommend simply bypassing them and using normal H8 bulbs
I'd like to disclose that the car was in a very minor front driver's-side accident in August (at about 5-10mph) that required the replacement of the headlight, fender, and front bumper. The repair was done perfectly by Kadel's in Lake Oswego with only OE parts. The good news from this is that the front end is either new or re-sprayed, so any highway rock chips that existed previously are now gone.
Please feel free to text message or email me with any questions. My number is 503.928.2776. You're also welcome to call if you prefer. However, I'm not always able to answer or return phone calls, so text or email is the quickest way to get a hold of me.
Thank you very much for looking.
-Daniel

Note: these interior photos were taken before the Euro center console or ZHP shift knob were installed, but they still accurately reflect its condition. (Airbag warning sticker has been removed, too)
