No need to make a WTB thread for this.
There are plenty of cars that fit the bill on Craigslist. All it takes is to find the right one or to lowball.

I just sold a fuel pump to a kid on Sunday that picked up two late model cars weeks apart for a total of $1100.

There are other towns like OK City, Tulsa, Houston, & Austin you can search through as well.

Its not like everyone on this forum lucked out on finding their car local to them.

I just reread your initial post.
I thought you were looking for a complete running car for around $1k that you would strip out and use as a track car.
Not that hard to find really.

But now I realize you could do with a non-running car or car with issues.
Those cars are all over the place! There are so many cars like that in DFW that
I have to beat them off with a stick! :D

Seriously I've bought a handful of e30's in the last few years and all were no more than a few hundred bucks.

Bump. So, maybe I am going to save up and get something a little further along, there doesn't seem like any deals in my price range. Any ideas, looking really for a 325is coupe, any color, wouldn't mind a convertible. Anyone!?
