I wish the top of my backseat was flawless, but it's not. The seam is starting to split, but I've decided to leave it versus risking it being repaired and not looking original. This car is a survivor, not restored. It has to be seen to believed. :)

This is pretty much exactly the car Ive been looking for except I hoped for a 325. How does the 318 engine compare with the 325 in general? And specifically how would you compare THIS engine with a 325 since you have put so much into it? thanks for your response.

The M42 engine is a pretty competent little 4 cylinder. It's much more technologically advanced than the M20 in the 325.

It's very revvy and lighter than the M20. It gets great economy by comparison.
Ask any 318is owner how they like their car... this is the same drivetrain.

What's been done to the engine? Specifically in regards to the timing components. There have been factory updates to some of the parts.
