Does this car have an LSD? If so, what is the ratio of the diff?
Also, who did the motor/tranny install?The Red Dragon V.5 1991 318iS / 2013 F800GT

.. Let's just put it this way, it's pretty fast and a very smooth shifting. I've outraced manual swapped E30s with this many times.. My friend has a manual E30 M3 S52 swapped, with a body as clean as mine .... And, he is jealous.. so you do the imagination.Comment

This thing is sweet. I don't see nothing wrong with a kickass automatic. Wish I had the money. Though I would probably lose the steering wheel and shift knob.'87 325i "Chewey" (RIP, my beloved)

This was my buddies dad's car that I helped him do the swap with as a favor. I told him it was sketchy and more of a trial when doing this swap since it wasn't highly prized or sought after (let alone never documented) and I would do what I could while attending school, working, and doing clinicals. It was more of a personal favor to help a friends dad. I admit I didn't have time to clean up the auto wiring to make it all tuck nice, but his dads wishes were to get it up running and running correctly and he would take care of the rest. So that's exactly what I did for the wiring stuff.
Funny, I didn't smash the MT mounting channel. My buddies dad actually cut, with my supervision, the manual mounting brackets while retaining the area for the auto transmission bracket to bolt up to. Little do you know. Making assumptions sure makes you look mature. (I'm assuming you smashed your MT mounting "chanel")
Widening the transmission tunnel is a known fact to fit the larger auto transmission from an e36 especially if you want to clear the auto linkage for the gear selector.
As far as what I technically did for the car was "bolt" and "wire" it. All the cleaning up/widening he handled because he was an able dad that wanted to put his own time on the car. He did the gear selector wiring/seats/whatever else cosmetics. So before bashing me Hakentt get the whole story straight.
If and when I did a swap for someone, I did things right. I can not dictate what my buddies father wanted. I told him my concerns and he had a time frame. So what did what worked. Granted if I did this swap again, it would be a lot more cleaner and with a 5 speed auto transmission.
The car is a great car and has been up and running for about 2ish years I'd say. To be honest, I didn't even know that he sold it till I saw this post of someone else selling it. Which is why I asked "what's your reason for selling it."
Anyways, good luck on the sale. And to desertbmw/hakentt, you really are a troll.

I should have taken some when I was working on mounting the transmission bracket. But I do believe my friends dad widened the tunnel a bit more than I would have liked (when I wasn't present). It doesn't look too horrid if I remember correctly.
