Gotta agree with this here. Put it on eBay and BMWCCA classifieds. 8500 on r3vlimited for a stock 325iS is not going to fly. It has rust(granted in one spot), no mileage listed and the A/C doesn't work. You are approaching what a decently clean 24V swap goes for.

You can get what you want but it won't be on r3v I don't think.

Thanks! The car is totally worth it IMHO.

Lots of time and money for sure. My buddy will miss this car dearly.

Our next place is eBay for sure. I hate to sell it like that but they have been fetching pretty rediculous prices there lately.

Sorry I missed that in the original post, about 170k on the body. Taking into account all the new stuff I honestly wouldn't even consider the mileage as a true indicator of its condition.

Thanks for your honest opinion. My friend who owns the car had plans for an S52 at one point but this M20 runs so great it would be hard to stomach yanking it for a 24v.

Cover the expenses and I'll drive it to your door. Wouldn't mind a coast to coast trip in this car.

I know the asking price is high and hard to justify to some but the owner of the car isn't exactly the DIY kind of guy. Almost everything on this E30 has been done by two trusted long time BMW mechanics. The latest round of service was the dash replacement, console, and some various trims here and there. Once again I am not the owner and am neutral to any critiques of this thing. My friend isn't active on any BMW forum (gasp!) and frankly doesn't have the time to sit down and post/ respond/ etc. Thanks again for the responses guys!

I'm just going to say, if a resprayed, resealed and reupholstered, ESM wheeled Vladcar can get 17k on ebay, then a great example of a relatively stock, plastic bumpered b-rot 325is can damn sure get 8500.

r3v is not the exclusive e30 market, fellas..

          Free bump.

I never knocked on what was put in it. But saying that no one can get a car as clean or cleaner for 17k is ridiculous. I will not retract my statement.

EDIT- Taking the high road with this for sale ad and not answering negatively. I flagged the negative posts but the mods did nothing about it so I am deleting my repsonses.

What I was trying to point out was there is a HUGE incentive to buy this car based on the fact that it's probably over 10k deep in new OEM parts alone...not to mention the performance upgrades, and the hours and hours of professional labor. Get out of my for sale ad. You don't know what you're talking about and you are making yourself look like an ass.

but now you're saying the above comment makes you contradict yourself. I wasn't being an ass. Was just merely correcting your misconstrued conception that you prematurely blurted out in your original post.

I love any clean car and the car you're selling for your friend is a prime example of cleanliness and a well/cherished car. But that line in your OP was just outrageous.

I complimented the car. Wished you lucked and made a simple comment about that line that you stated. I don't think that's a definition of an ass. Anyways, enough rambling. Again, clean car and glws.

Your welcome for the bumps. :-P

I love it. I think it's worth every penny. I saw the ad on Ebay, and i think it's priced to sell. It's nearly impossible to find a nice 325is with non-intrusive rust nowadays. I would rather spend $8k+ on a solid stock E30 than spend the next few years and thousands of dollars if not more fixing a moderately rotted out, paint faded, and tired E30. This is a great platform for someone to build on and make their own. Buy nice or buy twice that's what I always say. GLWS
