So Cal - 1990 325is Alpine White - Very Clean - Many Mods

    SOLD!!!

I purchased this car 4 months ago from a BMWCCA member and e30 enthusiast. He was selling it because he needed money for a downpayment on a house. Much of the info I will be relaying in this ad will be info from him, and from his mechanic when I purchased the car. All of these mods have been done within the 12-18 months.

I am only selling it because the M3 that I want looks like it is going to be available. My intention for this car was as a fun weekend driver, a canyon carver and to do the occasional track day. I have driven it less than 500 miles since I purchased it. I did take a run over Ortega Highway and back recently and the car is a handling and braking beast. Just fantastic. The motor also pulls strong and sounds great.

This car has a clean title. The previous owner smogged it for me when I bought it. He said it was with no problem. I will do the same for the next buyer unless they know a good smog place.

This car was put together by Groma Race Fabrication in Duarte, California. They are one of the absolute top BMW performance and race prep shops in the area. Before my purchase, I spoke at great lengths with a couple of the guys at Groma who had both worked on the car. Both of them told me the car was ready to take to the track, take to the canyons or take to the street as is. As many know, Groma Race Fab is located right next door to Ireland Engineering. This car has had almost the entire Ireland catalog thrown at it and it makes for a very cohesive handling, stopping and accelerating car.

This car also looks very, very good. The original 21 year old paint looks extremely good for it's age. There are some dings, some scratches and some chips as you would expect, but overall, the car looks very, very nice. The interior is also in good condition, not perfect, but a solid, very good looking interior in a great looking car.

Here is a fairly complete list of what this car features:

    Engine:
    - 2.5L M20 with rebuilt head by Groma. (Recent compression check within last 200 miles showed all cylinders right at 150lbs)
    - SS Cat Back Exhaust

    - Water Pump
    - Silicone Rubber Hose Set

    - Electric Fan Kit
    - New AKG Motor Mount Set Poly 75D (within last 200 miles)
    - Oil Change with Valvoline 20W50 (within last 200 miles)

    LSD:
    - 4.10 (Recent service within last 200 miles with Torco Racing Gear Oil 80/90)

    Trans:
    - 5-Speed Manual
    - IE HD Pressure Plate
    - IE Racing Disc 228mm
    - IE Throw Out Bearing
    - Recent trans service within last 200 miles includes:
    - New Rear Trans Seal
    - New Selector Shaft Seal

    - Offset Front Control Arm Bushings

    Rear Suspension:
    - Rear Bilstein Sport Shocks
    - IE Race Springs
    - IE Adjustable 22mm Sway Bar
    - IE Billet Aluminum Rear Shock Mounts
    - IE Urethane RTAB Bushings
    - IE Urethane Rear Subframe Mounts - Street
    - IE Rear Strut Brace
    - IE Rear Differential Mounts

    Wheels:
    - D-Force Lightweight Alloy Race Wheel - BMW E30 4x100 fitment, 15x7 et25 offset 13lbs - Satin Black (Less Than 200 miles)
    - Wheel Studs
    - Nitto NT-01 R compound tires (one event and 2000 street miles on them. They are still in excellent shape.)

    Brakes:
    - IE Front Big Brake Kit using Corvette C4 Calipers
    - Cross Drilled Rotors Front and Rear
    - SS Brake Lines
    - Complete Brake Fluid Flush with Motul RBF 600 (within last 200 miles)

This car is showing just over 132,000 miles on the odometer. However, I was told the odometer and trip meter did not work for over a year. Both the odometer and trip meter work correctly now. Title states "Mileage Unknown" due to this.

I am only selling this car for the reason stated above. If you have an M3 and are interested in a trade of some sort, I am willing to listen. I also know that this is not an inexpensive e30 325is. I do however think it is a great deal for anyone who has the money to buy a car that is virtually "done". We all know the "smart money" in this car hobby is to let someone else dump all the money into a car and then sell it for way, way less than they have into it. We all know you can't touch building a car like this for this money.

The AC has been removed from this car in keeping with it's intended weekend warrior concept. There is also no stereo installed though I believe the speakers are all still there.

Price Drop $7500 or best offer. I am located in Orange County, Ca. I will ship if the buyer handles all shipping arrangements.

And I have sold Porsche 911's for less than this too. Of course their condition had quite a bit to do with that. :)

In the three months I searched for an e30 325is, I saw a couple of S swapped cars that I wouldn't have paid this much for. I also saw a few very nice, way less modded cars for in the $5k range. Take a $5k range car in terms of niceness, dump about $8k in mods into it and sell it for $7800 or best offer. That's what we are looking at here.

Thanks buddy. To me, this car in the $7k range seemed like a deal after I looked at what was out there including some horrific Frankenstein jobs and many cars where you could tell the owner just didn't quite have the money to do it right.

To many, $7k is a lot to come up with all at once so they will spend $10-12k over time to get their car as nice as this. And rust free and original paint are things that you only have once.

I just updated the ad to show that it has Nitto NT-01 R compound tires on it. They are in very good shape with only a one day event at Streets of Willow and about 2,000 street miles on them.
