WTB E30 Touring

So when are Touring's eligible to be imported to the US? 25 years from the production date or model year?

i beilieve it just easier to import because they wont have to follow under the emmisons laws for us its 25yr and canada 15yrs so when 25yrs come up people in the US have less rules to follow to be able to import w/out a struggle ?
