actually I cannot do this. friend took work off so we could hangout on thur.

what I CAN do is western union OP money (full amount) as long as he guarantees a sale to me on mon or tue of next week.

I need to know within the next 12hrs so I can cancel my return flight to cali

I can also wire xfer money to a friend of mine nearby in NJ, but OP would have to drop the car off to said friend

those are all the options I can think of, as OP wont take PayPal as a deposit and wont let me deposit monies into his bank acct either

          work with me here!!

$151 in WU fees if money is to be picked up next day

$191 in WU fees if money is to be picked up same day

congrats to whoever landed the car but goes to show you, you can't trust certain people. Here's a copy of my text message conversation on Sunday, May 20th with the seller:

dinkman94: You available to see the car? I'm in the Bronx tonight and tomorrow for a funeral
                Dsun: Nope
                Work
                dinkman94: You work 24hrs a day??
Dsun: No i get home ard 6, then gym, dinner.. Rly dont have time
                On weekdays
dinkman94: No one else can show it during the day or you drive it to work? Lets touch base next weekend then
Dsun: Yea no one to show itnduring day, and weather is gonna be shitty all weak with rain. If friday is nice maybe we can do around 6-7. I wont be around to show on memorial day weekend
dinkman94: Supposed to clear up by Friday. Sounds like a plan for now. Will touch base then
                Dsun: Ok

                Conversation resumed the next day
dinkman94: found loophole in the DMW emissions test, no need for cats! I'll see it at the first time you're avail. Dont sell it till then :)
Dsun: Ok most likly friday evening

I certainly didnt have a right for the car to be 'reserved' for me but I'd like to think I made every attempt possible to show how serious I was and be available to see it asap. The seller has the right to sell to whoever he wants obviously, but I'd still call this a dick move!

I'll be staying away from anything FS from you in the future, sir.

hey man, you are right, i can sell it to whoever I want, and i chose to "sell" it to someone who got up to the plate and offered a non-refundable deposit. I made it clear in my OP that I was not going to hold the car for anyone and that it is first come first serve to the one that would pay. He paid and he holds the right to buy the car. Dont be a sore loser, i have had more than 20 offers in the last 3 weeks from "serious" buyers coming all the way from Florida that wants to see the car and locals even in my town that wanted to buy and see it. Guess what? NONE of them followed up nor offered to put a deposit down, even a guy that lives 10 min away from me that said he wanted to buy it.

So please, what you posted is irrelevant, I am not obligated to sell it to you because you told me "dont sell it then". What i did is not a dick move, what you posted and the actions taken made what you did a dick move. Next time read the ad clearer and you wont feel like a jerk when I clearly said I will not hold the car just because someone called dibs. Money talks.

If someone put a deposit down without seeing the car, it means they aren't local, which also goes against your own comments in the first sentence "Whoever can make it out to Fort Lee, NJ"

I made every attempt to see the car but you're the one who couldn't be bothered. For someone trying to sell a car with a large hole in the drivers side floo rpan, you'd think you would make more of an effort to show the car. At certain points it felt like I was the one chasing you down trying to sell YOU something.

anyway, there are other options out there.

Good luck to whoever bought the car, keep us posted how the rust fix comes along. I'm done here

how do you know they are not local? Are you a mind reader? FYI the guy is more local than you are. If the buyer is 100% committed and does not care to see the car first before buying then its on him. Again, if you read the OP, i just started work last week, its long ass hours and I am beat when I get home, With all the other shit i got going on in my life the last thing I want to do is to show off the car when I can just vege out and watch the games going on.

I am not on the forum 24/7 to return PMs and I cant make calls during the day during, hence the lack of communication, i try my best to reply all PMs/txt in a timely matter but I stated to you and everyone else weekend and Friday is best because I can get off early and have more time. I was going to entertain showing the car to you on friday due to the shitty weather this week but unfortuntaly for you someone else got it before you and now you are just being a sore loser. You are just making yourself look like a jackass here. I dont need to cater to your needs because it is my car and I have full discreation on what I do with it.
You are acting like a 5 y/o that didnt get what they want and is throwing a temper tantrum, stop being a child and grow up.

You're borderline harassing the seller due to you not getting the car. I dont know how many cars you sold in your life. But as a seller, they can sell it to whoever they want. You had no money on it and basicly called dibs. I cant tell you how many people flaked out on me due to the process you was taking. And as the seller said, he had the same experiences! It almost boils down to, dont trust nobody till cold hard cash in your hand.

Hey I lost out too, but remain in good communications with Dsun, thought he handled his business and never left me hangin, he even apologized for going with cash instead of a trade for my car. disappointed, but no complaints...

and yes, hope the buyer keeps us in the loop

Well, if it falls through I was willing to pay for it all up front and as I said, I would have taken care of any existing issues by dropping my S50 in it. If the real reason you didn't sell it to me was simply an emissions issue, it would have been null being that the car was going out of state.

NO knees here, Just letting people know that I have the means to buy at any given time and any given place. I don't care if your next door neighbor wants your car, the money can be in your acct in minutes via Paypal or wire..PERIOD!

I probably would have given a little bit more if it came down to it but whatever at this point, its sold.
