I do not want to sell this car as most people that know me or the car itself know...but I can't own 5 vehicles and this is the one I don't "need" right now.
Shipped over in the 80's: 1986 318...The car is all euro!!
(84-85 were 318's in the US)
It is as close to an LTW that I could find and considering how the car is, its kind of more on the rare side.
First off the lack of options from the factory consist: No sunroof, no power steering, no ABS, no AC, no OBC, no Tach, no passenger mirror, no pop out rear windows..I have an oem delete plate for the radio also so no radio. The color green I have not seen before but it is factory BMW...panels have been repainted here and there but all in all its a rust free car.
The car still has rear drum brakes and no tach which I know is useless but I want to keep it that way..because of this the diff is still a 4:10 open, its hard to find small diffs in the correct ratio so not a good DD right now but it is fast as it sits..
S50 was out of an auto 130k M3, the head was ported/polished etc at 120k and cost around $1600. The DME was sent out to turner and also had some work perfomed. EWS is still hooked up, trans is from a 96 328i with almost 130k on it and the flywheel, clutch components have under 100 miles on them. The exhaust system cost me well over $1k, its a stromung ran to stainless headers..The tone is absolutely perfect!!
14" Hartge wheels mounted to Toyo 888's. Suspension should be changed, billie sports on the rear with h&R sports, front I have billie's but there just stock struts with H&R sports..I had the windows tinted professionally at 35%.
The car starts right up and drives nice, the front billie struts need to be installed, rear needs to be changed, radio installed if that's your thing, a couple things here and there but its a complete interior swapped car that weighs nothing!!
Theres other good points I am missing but there are also other bad points I am sure..
