amen, that is actually really bad. im sure this car is decent shape for a rust belt car but this is a national/international forum. can't imagine how the rest of the hard to see parts are, you ever lifted up the carpet? not to mention the fact that it needs a control arm LOL why don't you install it?

I'll take more pictures of "rust" when I get home...The control arm problem has been fixed i crossed it off the list of problems.Originally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+Comment

requesting more pics of female that comes with the car. condition? rust? hard start?
:D
what shocks with the GC kit? bushings oem or aftermarket?Comment

BOOM. Jack chubby is really dirty.
The shocks on the coilovers are Bilstein sports all around, OEM bushings, didn't want to go poly as that's too aggressive for what I'd like.
Also lowered the price to $5500 so...............Last edited by lolcantturn; 06-18-2012, 05:00 PM.Originally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+Comment

I can vouch for this car. I've worked on and driven it multiple times and I wouldn't hesitate to drive this thing across the country.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.

Told ya guys, the car isn't a total loss! I never had a problem removing something from the chassis due to rust, the stock 200k diff came out with no problem and it looked awesome. The body pieces are all cosmetic surface rust from bad paint prep where the paint was probably thin in that area and eventually oxidation took place, such as under the kidneys and the door spot. Underbody looks awesome, absolutely no rust on the strut towers or anything STRUCTURAL at all. Out of all the E30's I've worked on, this one has given me zero rust pieces on my eyeball (Let me tell you how often rust gets stuck on my contacts from working on other people's e30s..)Originally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+Comment

Just did an oil change for the next owner ;)
Brought the car up to 130 today, zero vibrations after putting on hubcentric wheels, really surprising.Originally posted by TSI♫ Rust flecks are falling on my head...♫OEM+Comment
