Oh come on! I was at least hoping to see him try to dance around having it authenticated. The company that makes the legit version of his watch has a habit of destroying fakes that are sent in for authentication. I wasn't planning on telling him that.

...and some of us do have watches worth that much, and more. My daily worn watch is in the $7500 range. *shrug* I like collecting them, but you dont see me trying to sell them on R3V.

It may be a good fake, and there are some decent AP fakes available these days but when you've been in the watch world as long as I have you learn a few things about authentication. A1 in that statement is look at the watch, look at the car. A kid gets out of an orange E30 with a Rolex, it's fucking fake. End of story. Frankly, I think anybody who dailies an E30 and has something more then a base model Tag quartz is probably wearing a fake...

Maybe that's just because I drive an E46 though...

My watch is worth more than my car. Granted, my car doesn't have a shitty orange paint job.

The odds of this thing being real, not high. The AP fakes I've seen are usually pretty bad, since they aren't common enough for most people to have handled one. Its not like Rolex where the counterfeiters have invested a decent amount of time making them perfect.

The ironic part of that is that the majority of Rolex fakes ARE really bad! There's a few but I couldn't handle it, even at the high end and in the end, I had to go genuine. I had a few fake Submariners which found there way into the trash can...

The best part of crappy fake Rolexs? The people that are buying them have never seen a real one, so they dont know the difference. It is painfully obvious.

My daily wear is either a Omega Seamaster, Rolex Milgauss, a Breitling, or an Omega Speedmaster. Nothing off the wall or anything. But all of them are worth more than my E30 for the moment heh.

I've got an R6 that I ride most of the time. I haven't really needed a car for a few years. Being sick all the time means I really dont have to you know...go anywhere :p
