FS: Well Sorted and cared for 1989 BMW 325iX(PA)

    Hey All-

I actually bought back my iX from the people I sold it to back in July 2010. I have had it back under my ownership since July 2011. At that time, I purchased it with 162,000 on the odometer. Between July 2011 and January 2012, I only put a few miles on the car and prior to getting the car inspected in January of 2012 I did the following work on the car along with forum member MARSMANN:

Replaced both front Axles with known good Axles from my previous 325iX that I sold to MARSMANN who sold it to MANFRED. All 4 CV Boots up front. New Brake Rotors and Brake Pads on all 4 corners and an oil change with Mobil 1. When I brought the car in for inspection January 2012 (162,500), the following work was performed: New T-Belt and Waterpump, Drained and replaced fluids in Transer Case and Differentials with Synthetic fluids. New OEM Cat-Back Exhaust.

The original ad is below. I hate to sell it, but time to move on to a new project. I cannot emphasize who clean and straight this car is for being 24 years old. It is not new and has some common, but minor E30 issues. This car is turn key and needs nothing. Everything Works all the big ticket items have already been addressed, plus the Transfer case is 6 years old and has 22,000 miles on it.

I am selling my 1989 325iX. DS Black with tan leather interior. Automatic with Cold weather package. Heated seats that work perfectly and ski sack/pass-through. Cold AC. Everything works well in the car and it has a new power antenna for the radio. Hand crank sun roof. Rare manual rear window sun shade.

Body is straight and clean with a re-paint back in 2006. Garage Queen since 2006. Interior is well sorted. One minor crack in the dash and slight rip in driver's seat in the seam of the leather itself. New ellipsoid fog lights. New battery as of July2, 2010. Transmission is nice, smooth, and crisp.

I have owned the car since the spring of 2006 (Sold it July 2010 and bought it back July 2011) when it had just over 141,000 miles on it. I am the third/fifth owner and the car currently has 163,5xx miles on it. It is. When I bought the car, the transfer case was bad, so my mechanic put in a BRAND NEW transfer case. Bill was close to $4,000 dollars, so I should know. I have my service records as well as the service history of the PO.

    Price is $5,000

This car is a clean example of an E30 325iX. Please PM, Email, or call for further inquiry and additional questions: drewb71@gmail.com or 215-990-5111

Might not want to link the pictures to a site where you have to be a member. Can't see pictures.

I find that most BMW enthusiasts are members of multiple sites, but I understand your point.

Are you interested in the car?

Would you consider trades + cash? I have a 325xi (same color) with 181,000 miles and a fresh tune up. Just needs paint and maybe some new boots but transfer case works great. I just don't have the time.

Any rustiness? How's the undercarriage holding up? Are you pleased with the respray? Badge needs adjustment big time.

I think it would be better to respond to the post about that and the paint job publicly.

                          Well-

Mr. Winkie. You ain't local to me so unless you are coming up from South Carolina to hand me $4,000, what is it to you? Step off, SON!

Now that I got that off my chest (Been a rough December for me and I have some anger issues I need to address) The paint job after 7 years is still stand up. Car is either covered or sits in my garage.

The car is 24 years old and this is the Mid-Atlantic part of the country, not tobacco road :-). Stating facts not excuses for anything.

And if you aren't serious, please do not hi-jack my thread with BS. I will answer any question honestly, but I am allowed to PM those who show serious interest and are within a 30 minute drive.
