Re-posting my 1991 318ic with clean title again. Previous person couldn't come up with the money. Since my last post, I've replaced the gas tank, convertible top and been driving it as a daily again.
ENGINE/TRANSMISSION
-healthy and strong m42 with around 150k
-re-did the cooling system (all alum e36 radiator, water pump and thermostat)
-K&N filter
-new gas filter
-new iridium plugs (3 week ago)
-deleted intake mess.
-ac blows real cold and heater works just as good
-transmission shift smooth without any problems
-new cat to resonator to magnaflow exhaust (sounds pretty deep)
INTERIOR
-beige interior
-heated sport seats
-non-cracked dash
-dirty carpet (needs elbow grease)
EXTERIOR/SUSPENSION
-previous owner did a bad respray (black)
-rag top is in good condition (no rip with clear window)
-JOM Coilovers (less than a year old)
-weaves with lots of thread left
CONS
-valve cover, timing cover, upper oil pan gasket needs to be replaced (will be getting to this as soon as works permits)
-SI board needs new battery, tach will work sometimes.
-odometer gear needs to be replaced (just went out couple weeks back)
-passenger door jam has a rust spot
-driver seat is ripped
-driver door is peeling
-no radio
Looking to get 1800 or maybe trade for another late model e30 or a 24v swap (still have the 318is!).
The car runs real strong, drove it to SD and back last week doing 85 with no problems!! The exterior just need some TLC. I might be forgetting a few things, but the pictures can be viewed on my photo bucket.
