    FEELER: '89 325i Coupe

For sale is a bone stock 1989 325i coupe in red, black vinyl sport interior; bought the car with a little over 111k original miles from an enthusiast who never drove it and bought it from an old woman who garaged it most of the year, has about 117k on it now. Car is in IMMACULATE condition, I don't think I've ever seen an E30 that hasn't been worked on/restored in better shape anywhere, especially in the northeast. Interior is pretty much mint, seats look like they've never been sat in, dash has only one minor inch long crack in it. Everything works. Paint is beautiful, just a little faded on the top of the rear bumper. There are only about 3 rust spots on the entire car and their very minimal. Underbody is surface rust only, car was never driven in the winter looks like. Car also has a near-complete original toolkit, original full-size bottlecap spare, original jack and original floormats. Also have original tapedeck (aftermarket is currently installed however). The weather stripping is even shiny. All it needs is a fuel tank which I have purchased and am going to have installed professionally this coming week. Since I bought it I've replaced/upgraded the following:

    M-tech weighted ZHP Shift Knob
Suede M-stitched shift and e-brake boots
    Headlight knob
    Instrument cluster bulbs
Valve cover gasket/rocker plugs/crank case breather hose
    K&N Air Filter
    Hood strut
Hood and trunk roundels with black ones
    Antenna grommet
    Driver side door pocket
All clips for lower valence lip
Oil changed twice, every 3,000 miles

I'd like to get $7000 for it, I think in the condition its in, the fact its all original and the low mileage definitely make it worth the price. I'm looking to get an E39, preferably a 525i, 528i or 530i due to fuel economy, if you have one and are willing to trade I'll consider it, must be in comparable condition with comparable mileage and a manual transmission. PM me if interested. Thanks!

I admire your full disclosure... and i'm not trying to threadcrap.

      You asked for thoughts.

      I don't think there's a chance in hell you'll get 7k.

crack in dash is quite small.

I'm having the fuel tank installed so if someone made me and offer I'd accept, it would no longer need a tank at that point.

the 3 rust spots are minute and very hard to notice if you're not looking for them.

every car in existence in the northeast has surface rust on the mechanical components underneath; what makes this car worth it is the fact that surface rust is all.it has.

the two or three tools missing from the kit can easily be replaced from bavauto.

one is on the trunk lid, very minor, I looked over the car today while I was photographing it, couldn't find anything else, I'll snap a pic of the trunk rust spot quick tomorrow and throw it on here.

Sport seats have thigh and torso bolsters, as well as an adjustable thigh support in the center.
