I need to consolidate toys so my 91 318is is up for sale. It's been my daily driver for the past two years and has always been cared for by CCA members it's entire life.
Car is a 5 speed, obviously, and has a crank roof and a 4.10lsd. Almost has 188k on it and will go up slowly.
Suspension has been gone through to include recent, shocks/struts, RSM's, rear subframe bushings and M3 front control arm bushings (AKG's). Turns in amazing, better than my M20 track rat, and is a blast to drive.
Eliminated the mess under the intake and replaced intake gaskets, plastic cooling pipe, water pump and thermostat at the same time.
Complete custom 2.25' exhaust from the header back with Magnaflow muffler and resonator. It's a touch on the loud side but there isn't any rasp. Modeled after someone's exhaust on this forum.
Cosmetically it's probably a 7. Typical rusty front fenders and the car has been introduced to a few things over the years. Bumps, dings, trim stuff (hey, it's 21!). Seats and interior are in good shape. Only one crack in the dash and drivers bolster is good shape.
Mechanically car is very reliable and I'd drive it across country in a hearbeat.
Current known issues are:
1. Gas tank leaks when more then half full.
2. Probably needs two tires to pass inspection.
3. ABS is intermittent, probably needs sensors cleaned. I could care less about ABS so I've never looked at it.
I can't justify keeping it any longer but I don't particularly want to sell it as I really love driving it. In other words, don't waste your time lowballing it. I'm open to reasonable offers, but I won't fire sale it.
