You're right, I've had so many e30's I sometimes don't even remember having them until a for sale thread mentions my name (i.e. Cong45) but you're right - I'm clueless when it comes to e30's and odometer issues.

I'll tell you what else I'm clueless about. I'm clueless about a month and half old thread, with no mention of mileage on a chassis. I'm clueless that when I ask a direct questoin to an OP - one that is non-inflammatory, non-obtrusive, and completely relevant to the thread - I get a beat around the bush kind of answer.

Maybe I'm just so clueless that I didn't know when an e30 odometer breaks, it resets itself to zero and the last known mileage dissappears magically.

You're right, I'm clueless. GLWS OP.

This thread has been up for 6 weeks and not one mention of the mileage or anything listed under the "what the car needs" section.
The reason it has been up for six weeks and there is no mention is because most people care less about mileage in these cars. M3s and all original low mileage cars are an exception to that rule.

The odometer stopped at 94k, but since it broke before I owned it, I don't know how long it has been broken. It might as well have broken 10 years ago. Therefore, I don't see a point in trying to act like 94k means anything. I could easily, put the gears in and tell everyone that it had 94k on it, but I didn't because that would be LYING.

My response was not beating around the bush. If you are interested, in the car (or any car) I would recommend doing some reading first. On these cars, what matters is maintenance and records, not mileage. Most of these cars have the odometer issue, so IMO I would question anyone claiming a car to have under 100k miles unless it is absolutely pristine.

      Here is a link FYI:

You're an idiot who trolls sale threads when you see an opportunity to denigrate a car. Here's some advice: If you don't like the sale thread, buy another car. If you really wanted questions answered, you would have asked for a phone number and called the seller for direct responses. Instead, you shit on the thread in an effort quash interest that other potential buyers may have.

Go do something productive with your life. Or don't. Regardless, GTFO of this thread.

          Hey Mike30.

These guys are punksters, can you imagine they bad mouth everyone else and then cry the blues because their asking $6500.00 for something that they paid $2900.00 except for with a few mods, Listen I live in North Miami and I know what salt in the air does to cars..I also own a plane that corrodes. As far as the mileage is concerned that is the first thing anyone wants to know.. That's it, what goes around comes around, LOL

Please. You're just making yourself look like an idiot.

I have over 3000 in parts into this car. I have documentation for everything. The car is rust free like most cars in FL. Aircraft are ALUMINUM and corrode. Cars do not have that issue.

Once again, please compare similar cars from FL or CA with no rust, full coilovers, and redone interior. My price is fair and reasonable.

This car has a salvage title, is an automatic and has all kinds of issues. You told this guy it was worth the same as mine.

Anyone is 100% able to come inspect the car in person or get a PPI done. There is no rust, you have never seen it in person, so you have no facts to back that up.

On the other hand, you will not show the "rebuild process" on your axles and refuse to give info about them. You are a scam, I am 100% open about this car.

I know the car and the owner. There are no problems with either.
The car is a nice example of a 20+ year old car that is cared for by it's owner. Not a perfect car, but few are.
Not all cars in florida are rust buckets. You have a lot of nice examples down here and some very knowledgeble E30 guys.

GLWS and someone will get a nice car.

The previous owner did the valve cover and timing gaskets. He included a pan gasket, but it dosent leak, so it will be given to the new owner.
