    FS: 1989 BMW 325i E30 | Red | Coupe | Manual | Stock

    Hi guys,

As some of you may have read, I recently bought this car. From the get-go, I wanted Alpine White. Well an Alpine White popped up the other day so I bought it. Now I have 2 E30's so this one has to go, sadly.

    Some history on the car:

I bought it about 2 weeks ago from a girl who moved to Minnesota from California about 1.5 years ago. So being from California, this car has ZERO rust. Rare for these cars, around here at least. She said she owned the car for about 10 years. I didn't get any maintenance records because she said her dad was a mechanic and did all of the work on it.

The timing belt has been replaced in Spring of 2011.

It's got 204K miles on the odometer, but the odometer is stuck (common issue).

The passenger seat's recline lever is broken off, so it's pretty much stuck at the position it's in. (see photos)

The car is 99% stock. Another rarity. The interior has black front seats, and the wheels didn't initially ship chrome. I don't think the fogs were yellow either.

It doesn't leak a drop of anything.

The car runs and drives flawlessly. It's got a slight shimmy at 60 MPH, but then quickly goes away.

It's only got a couple of cosmetic flaws, as you can see in the photos. One golfball sized dent in the rear by the trunklid. And some rubbing from when they shipped the car here from California on the front hood corner. Front bumper is also cracked, as well as the bumper trim on the driver's side. They didn't take care of the car when they shipped is what it appears to me. Also some scuffing on the passenger side rear fender. It's been painted so hard to notice. Dash is cracked in a few places, also typical of these cars.

Since I only bought it a couple weeks ago, I don't have the title back yet from transferring it at the DMV. I'm going to stop in there today and see what the guidelines are for selling it while the transfer is in progress. From quick reading online I think both parties just have to go into the DMV upon sale.

    $4,000 obo

I'm located in Twin Cities, Minnesota. Of course would prefer to sell locally. But if you organize some sort of shipping or transportation by all means...

    PM me with questions.

I would say 4k is a great price for that car, if the maintenance is up to date.

Timing's been done. Just changed the diff oil. Oil changed recently with synthetic. New clutch within the last 10k miles. The radiator looks new, not sure of the history though. No "Check" lights are on.

The lady said it needed a recharge. I haven't tried it.

I wasn't given any info on those items. Yet I didn't ask, and I haven't inspected.
