I’m going to have to sell my project, I just don’t have the time or the spare funds to keep it up. This is going to be a pretty long ad, so bear with me; it just might be worth your two minutes.
*Will not part out I don’t have the time…all or nothing*

Video walkaround
The car is an Ascotgrau 1982 323i 5 speed. I have the import papers for it showing that it was brought into Florida from Germany (these weren't available in the US) and federalized. It was then owned by a dentist in Texas who moved to Greenville SC and sold it to the stepfather of the guy I purchased it from. He is a forum member here, which is how I found it. It has been sitting under a cover in his yard for a few years after he, too, ran out of time for it.
Before cutting it loose, he had a 1990 M20B25 engine installed in it. I have receipts for this totaling about $7k. At the same time, a lightweight flywheel and short shift kit were also installed as well as a BavAuto strut bar. All work was done by a pro garage who were kind enough to include a wiring diagram for the switch to Motronic. I have receipts for most of these parts as well as the labor. I just cleaned the K&N panel filter, and everything else under the hood looks new enough that I haven’t touched it aside from cleaning the K&N panel filter. (It was really dirty, the car pulls harder now). The AC actually works, but the fan squeaks and it has a pretty low volume of air.
The car does have 265k+ miles on it, but it also has a bunch of new parts. The body is 99% rust free. I just found a small bit of rust under the spare tire (pictured). The rest of the body is solid. The front left quarter is dented, but the car comes with a new one. The trunk lid is rusting, but it comes with a new one of those also. The only body work it will need aside from that is a dented left rocker panel and paint. The original paint is tired on the roof and hood after years of Texas sun.
The Recaros are clean recent recovers. The dash is cracked but it comes with a clean replacement. It has a sport wheel that has been recovered in a black and brown pattern. It has a momo shift knob and boot and the Euro cluster is intact. The carpet and ‘323i’ embroidered mats were recently replaced. I have the German language AC center console panel and shift surround, but none of the console side panels.
It comes with two sets of wheels. 14x6 BBS RAs that were recently refinished and a set of 16x7 Hartge knockoffs (well, one of them is a real Hartge, 3 are replicas, don’t ask, I don’t know J). The tires on the Hartges are pretty decent, but the tires on the BBS are dry rotted despite having good tread.
Suspension is Bilstein tourings and unknown sport springs.
Exhaust is stock and rattles some, needs to be rehung.
Transmission is stock.
SPARE PARTS INCLUDED (off the top of my head):
3.91 LSD ($)
Front and rear Euro bumpers
Koni reds, new.
Hella front spoiler in NOS condition
Trunk lid
Front left quarter panel
Two fuel pumps
Clean blue front valence
A couple of boxes of random stuff.
Starting asking price of $3200 obo.
TRADES:
Would rather sell outright, but...I wouldn't say no to a comparable value E30 or E28. I'd prefer something more stock than this. No big projects, I don't have the time or motivation. Would just be looking for a second car that my girlfriend and I could scoot around town in.
PMing me here is the best way to get in touch with me for now. Thanks!
