325es. If you're referring to the twin cam car I'm thinking of, I went and saw that a while back and test drove it. Car left a lot to be desired both aestethically and mechanically - looked great in pictures though.

Speaking of pictures... This one makes the m look small

Yes was referring to to the other zinnoberrot that went for sale about this time last year.

Love the ES on the Borbet B's. I can only hope mine looks so nice when it's completed, but I will be 5 lug so we can't be twins.

People talk to me on the phone, tell me they definitely want it, schedule a day to come down, I leave work on time to make sure I'm around, and I get texts saying they can't come down [insert reason xyz here].

Haven't had one person come look yet. Drove it for the first time today in a few weeks, forgot how fun it was to drive and how tight everything feels from suspension to steering to shift linkage. Someone will enjoy it that's for sure. Whether that's now or in the spring time is yet to be determined.

I was really interested in this car, but after communicating with the seller it just needs a lot more work than is really alluded to.

                Body/paint damage
                Steering rack leak
                ABS issue
                Tach issue
                Heater blower issue
                AC doesn't work
                Trans/flywheel noise
                Sunroof panel issue
                Incomplete lighting
                310k miles on chassis
                etc.

For the amount of work this car needs, I think your price is too high. When you said you were only willing to negotiate a couple hundred dollars I had to back out. Let me know if you ever become more flexible on the pricing.

Like I stated in my initial post, and like I said to you in my last email, this car is a solid daily driver. It is not a show car. It's a solid, reliable, and inexpensive daily compared to other e30 m3's that are high mileage where it matters (I.e. that costly s14). And if it is low mileage, there it's sure to be priced much higher than this one.

Body/paint damage - you're referring to the fender, which was already mentioned
                  Steering rack leak- already mentioned
ABS issue- I see now that I didn't update this thread, but it is and was in my s14.net thread. Light is intermittent and initial diagnostics point to bad or dirty sensor
Tach issue- si board was replaced to the tune of $80 but the tach is intermittent at times, sometimes good for days sometimes no life for a bit. Rest of cluster is solid
Heater blower issue - yes, $30 resistor did go after posting the car up. Currently works on high only. It is what it is.
AC doesn't work - air blows and it functions, just not cold needs a recharge. Heat blows nice and hot.
Trans/flywheel noise - sounds like lightweight flywheel chatter but I can't confirm. It's only in neutral and it's a low mileage tranny and clutch was done when the motor was, shifts through the gears no problems or stories
Sunroof panel issue - already mentioned, needs alignment. Put 20 min into it. I've swapped motors in the past, installing/removing sunroofs and panels apparently isn't my forte
Incomplete lighting - so do e30 m3's with brake ducts instead of fog lights have "incomplete lighting" too? Interesting.
310k miles on chassis - and with just about every piece of rubber replaced and 10k on the entire motor. Don't see what it matters but to each their own.
                  etc.

For the amount of work this car needs, I think your price is too high. When you said you were only willing to negotiate a couple hundred dollars I had to back out. Let me know if you ever become more flexible on the pricing.
If i was hiding anything I wouldn't have been up front with everything I knew about the car with you or anyone else that I spoke to via email or phone. I've been on these forums a long time, I don't play games, and I do what I say I'm going to do. I said in my first post my only reason for selling this was to get into a cheaper daily being an mtech1 car that popped up locally, and that if it sold before mine i'd keep mine. With that said I went and bought it before I sold this one. Now I have both. I did what I said I would. Now with that, if you're serious send me another email and make an offer. Yes I'm only a few hundred bucks negotiable as the car sits now, but I am $2000 negotiable putting it back to stock form. I understand you're partially just trying to play the negotiation game with me by making things sound way out of proportion (ex. "incomplete lighting" - reality is, it has upgraded lighting) but this isn't my first rodeo either.

If you're looking for a solid and worry free daily e30 m3 that won't break your wallet, this is the car you've been looking for.
