1991 BMW 325i Coupe
It is sterling silver with a black leather interior; it has a 2.5 liter6-cylinder engine with automatic transmission with just over 169k milesshowing on the odometer.
Here are the good points. . .
· Starts, runs, and drives very well and has not exhibited any mechanicalissues while I have driven it
· New parts installed less than 2000 miles ago:
Tires
Front brake rotors
Front wheel bearings/hubs
Front and rear brake pads
Brake pad sensors
Fog lights
IS lip and a nice valance
· Timing belt and tensioner were replaced in October of 2010 at 156,633 miles,so they are good for quite a while longer
· Guibo and center bearing were replaced in August of 2009
· Overall a very solid body with only a few dents and next to no rust. . .the car still looks great from 30 feet away!
· Interior is good, dash only has one hairline crack along the second rib(cannot be seen from any seat in the car.)
· Includes original window sticker (see photo) and bill of sale for over $28k
· Includes repair and maintenance documentation from previous owners showing thousands of dollars of repairs and upkeep over the years
· All of the gauges work and there are no diagnostic faults showing on the dashdisplay at the moment
· Power windows and sunroof work
Here are the things I know that need attention. . .
There is a slight exhaust leak as well as a rattle at the converter thatcomes and goes. . .has been this way since I got it
The air conditioner does not blow cold. . .the previous owner stated itworked fine 2 summers ago, but it has not worked since I bought it. I never checked it or try to recharge it, but the system is intact.
The car has been repainted and some of the panels (most prominently thedriver's side door and front fender) are showing age and need repainted to look better. . .thankfully, since the car is silver, the car still presents wellfrom 30 feet away.
The driver's door lock does not unlock the car. . .I use the trunk lock withthe key to lock and unlock the car
Concluding Thoughts. . .
This is a solid final-year e30 coupe in good running condition and ready to go.It is a dependable commuter car but could certainly be improved to be arestored classic e30. Sterling silver is one of the rarest colors on an e30.Over a thousand dollars have been put into it over the past year for the newparts mentioned previously.
I listed the obvious things that come to mind, but please consider that this isa 20 year old car with normal to-be-expected wear and tear. It still looks good from 30 feet away and it does start, run, and drive just fine, but it is not perfect. I may have missed something here or there, but over all the car is ingood shape.
