    1988 325 Project car

    SOLD
I purchased this car in 2006 as a "rescue" car from a previous ricer lifestyle. The car is originally from Las Vegas. It was in Texas for about 2 years and then I brought it to Ohio in 2007. The car has not seen snow and has been stored indoors so it is rust free. The car was completely gone over over the years but I have not really had the time to finish it or drive it. I have maybe put a few hundred miles on it just to keep it going over the years. I honestly just don't have the time to finish it and am most likely going to move again so just looking to sell it to someone who will actually use the car. I hate to see it just sit. The last time I drove it it had a ground issue which I think I corrected. I have only driven it around my neighborhood because I did not renew the registration on the car. The body has 220k on it but the motor only has 60k. The odometer shows 168k because the previous odometer/speedometer was broken and needed to be replaced(riced out rather than broken). Asking $4500. I have a lot of money into the car, not looking for lowballers.

I am positive I can't remember everything that I put into this car.

    Suspension/brakes:
    5 lug e30 M3 rear E36 M3 front.
    Ground control coilovers
    Ground control camber plates
    Sparco Strut bar
    IE rear subframe bushings
    IE motor mounts
    IE trans mounts
    IE adjustable rear camber/toe kit
Brand new rear wheel bearings were used along with brand new front Hubs/wheel bearings
    New Guibo
    New driveshaft center bearing
    SS brake lines
Rotors/pads were new I believe I have Axxis ultimate's in there
    E36 M3 front calipers e30 M3 rears. All 4 were rebuilt.
    Bimmerworld upgraded 25mm master cylinder
    Walboro 255lph Fuel pump
Mcoupe 3.23 LSD diff. I have a 3.73 E30 LSD diff that I have not had the chance to swap in. It comes with the car. The Mcoupe diffs go for $400.

    Steering:
    Z3 Steering rack
    All new lines
    New reservoir

    Motor/trans:
2.7 block and a 2.5 head with an aftermarket cam. I do not know the brand of the cam or the duration. The motor was crated from Germany by the previous owner. He mentioned it only had 60k on it. I replaced the head gasket , water pump, timing belt, oil pan gasket, valve cover gasket, and I am trying to remember whatever else I replaced. I ran a compression test on the motor a couple of years ago and it was 180psi across all cylinders.
    JB Racing 8lb ltw flywheel
    SPEC Clutch Stage 3
    Shifter bushings were replaced
    Aftermarket headers
    New slave cylinder
    New radiator/ hoses
    New battery earlier this year.

    Exhaust:
3" exhaust with magnaflow hi-flow cat and a magnaflow muffer

    Wheels:
8.5" DSII's all around with New Falken ze912 tires

    Interior:
    Mtech 2 steering
    Konig Seats
    Crack free dash
I have a Knee panel just haven't installed it.
    New shift knob/boot
VDO guages but they are not currently connected. I have the senders, just needs installation. Oil temp, Oil pressure, and Water temp guage.
    New BMW floor mats

    Audio:
    Alpine- CDA9856
    MB Quart components up front
MB Quart speakers in the rear

    Exterior
    Plastic bumpers were added
I have a new IS lip in the box didn't even open it. Comes with the car
I have the OE trunk spoiler but just needs to be re installed.

Whats wrong with the car/what it needs
The paint is completely gone. It has faded on the hood, roof, and trunk. It is chipping and flaking on the sides from a poor previous paint job. I currently have the trunk covered in vinyl as I was just testing to see what it would look like. Needs new paint

As I mentioned it had a loose ground and ignition wires. For some reason one of the previous owners had spliced into a couple of wires under the dash and I think I have it corrected. I don't have it registered so I can't take it past my neighborhood. Car starts up and drives fine. I am not 100% positive that I fixed the issue because the last time I was driving and it randomly died on me. I messed with ground wire and it started. I cleaned the cables and tightened them up when I got home.

For some reason the driver side door lock is stuck is it is not locking. I opened it up and after taking the internals apart/lubing them up I thought I had it fixed. Once I put the door panel back in the next day I had the same issue. Have not had a chance to see what is wrong.

    There is no Ebrake.
Car could use 3mm spacers up front. It rubs a little on full lock but I didn't notice it while driving.
I have a new thermostat housing that needs to be installed. The one on the car had a crack that I epoxied a couple of years ago. Its held up but I have a new one.
AC needs to be reconnected/charged. It worked prior to the motor replacement.
Auxiliary fan needs to be installed, comes with the car
Underpanels needs to be installed, I have them with the car
Foglights are not connected. One of the previous owners cut the pigtails from the foglights. I just have not had time to find new pigtails off a donor car.

Thanks, if the paint was in decent shape the price would not be so low. I just want someone to actually drive the car and finish it up. I can't drive it here in the winters because I don't want it to just rust away in a year. Summers I just have no time with 2 kids and work.

The previous owner was in the military and had them shipped with him from Germany. Not sure where you buy these from. They are comfy though.
